Quick info
About The Vine Inn
The Vine Inn is a pub at 42-44 in Manchester, split over three levels with a downstairs bar and seating areas both upstairs and below. Regular acoustic and open mic nights bring live music to the pub, and a lunchtime menu is served in the cellar bar. Three real ales are on offer at the bar, and the sound system plays Manchester songs. The pub sits next to a Wetherspoons and The City Arms, and on warm evenings customers spill out onto the street and mingle with drinkers from the neighbouring pubs.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers describe The Vine Inn as a proper old-style Manchester boozer, and the staff are the draw they raise most. Bar staff are called friendly and welcoming, and one reviewer describes a bar worker in the downstairs bar who chatted while cleaning tables and showed a song title on her phone when she saw someone trying to Shazam it. Another says the staff made a private party feel welcome. Close behind is the beer: several praise the Guinness, one calling it the best they had in Manchester, and one drinker enjoyed a pale real ale, though that reviewer notes a bigger real ale selection at the nearby City Arms. Drink prices are called fair and competitive, and one mentions unusual stock spirits. Reviewers also like the seating over three levels, the Manchester songs playing, and drinkers spilling onto the street on warm evenings. A couple mention how clean it is. No complaints recur in the reviews, and one visitor says it felt like a local even as a tourist.

“Lovely little Manchester pub playing Manchester songs, probably rich with history - very chilled and relaxed inside, competitive drink prices with some unique stock spirits which is nice to see.”

“Always liked this pub, but was in there last night and it went up another notch. Didn't get her name but the girl (wearing glasses) in the downstairs bar is a contender for the best bar maid in Manchester. Very helpful and chatty, even when doing her non stop cleaning of the tables. Even came over with her phone to show me the name of a song when she saw me trying to Shazam it! She's a real asset to the place. Also great beer and atmosphere.”
