Quick info
About The Haddon Hall
The Haddon Hall is a bar and grill in Manchester on Haddon Hall Rd, run as a pub with staff serving at the bar. The kitchen puts sizzling skillets alongside pub classics like burgers and a mixed grill, so the menu covers both a skillet and a familiar grill plate. Drinks are served from the same bar as the food orders. Cutlery, napkins and sauce sachets are collected from a counter rather than placed on the table.

Customer Review Summary
Fish and chips is the dish reviewers name most, described as better than a high end restaurant for half the price, with a mixed grill, a mixed starter and scampi and chips also mentioned. Diners repeatedly point to reasonable prices, generous portions and a friendly, welcoming local pub feel, with staff called brilliant and lovely by several. Food is often described as quick, and ordering through the app was easy for one reviewer. The main complaint is slow, uneven service. One table waited over an hour as separate orders arrived roughly half an hour apart, and the staff were defensive when asked. Another reported drinks missing for 15 minutes after mains arrived, and desserts took 40 minutes on a busy night for a third. Others mention chips and fudge cake being out of stock, overcooked curly chips and fries, no napkins or cutlery on tables, and a dated interior. One reviewer received only a teaspoon of peas with scampi, and another was handed cutlery in a kids library book tray.

“Went in here yesterday and had a fantastic time. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with that classic local pub feel. The food was great, I had the fish and chips, which I really enjoyed and the drinks were spot on too. The staff were all brilliant throughout my time there of the afternoon into evening and really made me feel welcome. A lovely pub with a great vibe, I’ll definitely be back.”

“I come here regularly with family/kids and friends for both food and drinks. Everyone is always lovely, food is great and the manager Jenny is always so welcoming. All staff do their job well and have a chat with you. Highly recommend - and enjoy the new menu! :)”
