Customer Review Summary
Steak anchors most visits, from a fillet cooked as requested with peppercorn or blue cheese sauce to a rump with prawns and halloumi, though one diner found the rump too rare in places and the halloumi lacking colour. Lamb kofta is close behind, described as well seasoned by two diners, with salt and pepper squid also mentioned. The bottomless brunch draws enthusiastic reports of flowing cocktails, prompt food and a lively Saturday buzz, and one reviewer urges others to book it. Complaints centre on service and value. One diner had to wave down staff for water, cocktails and the bill in a half-full room, another found staff rushed and not very friendly, and cocktails were called weak. Burgers were described as small, and a steak salad arrived with only three slices. The chilli potato bites were mushy and the garlic prawns lacked chilli kick. Several still call the servers friendly and attentive, and one family's request for a sparkler in a steak became a cheesecake with candles and a chocolate birthday greeting.

“We had a fab bottomless brunch a couple of weeks back, the food was absolutely lovely with a generous portion and the cocktails were incredible. Most importantly, the service we received from Nicola was first class and she is a credit to the team! We will definitely be returning!”

“We visited The Firepit on Saturday over the Bank Holiday weekend. We had reserved a table for 7pm and upon arrival there were a few people in already but still had plenty of seating available. We were quickly shown to a booth table and left with the menus to browse. The atmosphere was good, music playing but not too loud and you could also hear a singer from a nearby venue which was nice. A lady came along to take our drinks order and also the food order, she was nice enough but perhaps a little rushed off her feet. We were able to chat at a decent level and the food didn’t take too long to come out. My husband had a burger and I opted for a rump steak with added on prawns and halloumi. The food was pretty tasty and I asked for the rump to be medium rare which it was but perhaps a little too rare in places probably due to the thickness of the steak. The prawns were good too but the halloumi could have been cooked a little longer to get some colour on it. Overall the food was nice but the service wasn’t great, the staff weren’t overly friendly it appeared they were busy but the restaurant was probably only half full. Maybe put it down to the hot weather too. I would recommend the restaurant if you enjoy steaks and would perhaps return in the future but only after seeing what other restaurants Bury has to offer.”

“Party of 11 and the whole order was right, great result! Staff were friendly and attentive. Atmosphere good, venue spotless and open kitchen is a good aspect of the dining experience. Would definitely recommend to all.”

“Overall a nice place and average food. Was there twice and ordered burgers. The size of the burgers are a bit small. The combination and add-ons of the burgers are good but executed very well. Could do better. Had the balls on fire and really enjoyed. The food is good and the service is really good.”

“An excellent meal, served by outstanding staff!!! We were greeted very warmly by David who seated us immediately despite the fact we were 45 mins early for our reservation. He was friendly and very welcoming. The food was delicious and served promptly. Generous portions and good quality. We were having a small pre- 16th birthday celebration for my son. My request for " a sparkler in his steak." Was granted but instead came with the absolutely delicious cheesecake dessert with candles and some stylish chocolate birthday greeting courtesy of David. A special mention also to our other server whose name I unfortunately didn't get (the pretty, dark haired girl with glasses and piercings) all in all we were very satisfied and left with full bellies and big smiles. Thank you very much to David and all the staff at the firepit! Full marks, 5 stars A+++”
