  “I visited Luna Wine Bar last Friday for a date night, and it turned out to be such a lovely evening. I arrived before my date and was given the option of sitting either in the mezzanine area upstairs or in the main dining room downstairs. After a little thought, I chose downstairs, and I am glad I did. The restaurant is intimate and cozy, yet thoughtfully laid out so that tables do not feel crowded together. Even when seated near other guests, there is still a sense of privacy. The staff were excellent throughout the evening—professional, accommodating, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. One of the highlights was speaking with the sommelier, who took the time to understand my taste in wine and recommended a tasting of the Bodega Bodega Tinto, a Spanish red. It was excellent and paired beautifully with our meal. Once my date arrived, we ordered a bottle of the same wine along with the day's steak special, served with a delicious plum reduction and accompaniments. The steak was absolutely fantastic and cooked beautifully. As the evening progressed (and another bottle of wine appeared!), we decided to order a cheese platter, which was the perfect way to continue enjoying the evening. I also loved that the kitchen is visible from the dining area, allowing guests to watch the chefs at work. It adds a unique and engaging touch to the experience. Overall, Luna is a charming spot with excellent food, wonderful wine, and outstanding hospitality. I would absolutely return and happily recommend it to others.”

  “Luna is a lovely wine and tapas bar. We have been here a couple times and it never disappoints. The dishes are really interesting and the mix of flavours always surprising! I did expect the best knowing that the owners are the same as Legare (just in front).. and it didn’t disappoint! They change their menu frequently so I will not tell you what to order, but follow the recommendations from the staff and I’m sure you’ll leave the place really happy! I even enjoyed dishes that had ingredients that I usually don’t like! Pair the food with a nice wine of their wine list and you will have a perfect experience! But do take into account that dishes are not too big, so don’t be shy in ordering if you are really hungry. The only thing that I would say is that as it is an open kitchen and the place is not too big, you might leave with your clothes smelling. But that should not stop you from going as the rest is amazing!”

  “Went here on Valentine’s day and it’s such a hidden gem near tower bridge! Super vibey wine bar with amazing small plate dishes! For starters, we got the Marinated squid which was very refreshing, and the wedge salad. For mains, we shared the Brill which was so nice so soft and served with a perfect ajo blanco sauce. We loved the Braised Lamb Shank on Toast. It was a flavour bomb, super generous amount of lamb and the toast soaked up all the lamb juice! We ended the meal with a cheese plate and their super indulgent chocolate mousse, it was huge! Also, their wines were SO GOOD. I love their orange!”

  “One of my favourite evenings out this year! The food was delicious and our host Alex helped to pick amazing wine pairings for each dish. The pork was incredible, and I’ll be dreaming about the dinner rolls… The restaurant itself feels cozy and intimate, but still has a great buzz about it with great music playing.”

  “Very cute and intimate wine bar from the team behind my favourite Italian restaurant, Legare - the wine list is great, the plates are small (so definitely don’t expect full meal portions) but packed with flavour and just delicious. We pretty much ordered the whole menu (as a group of 5) and loved every dish - notable standouts were the seafood dishes and the potato dinner rolls. Great service by the team. The setting is intimate, though potentially a bit on the darker side. Can’t wait to be back!”
