About Singburi
Singburi is a Thai restaurant in London, at Unit 7. Counter seats face the chefs as they cook over open flame and woks, so diners can watch the kitchen at work, and a charcoal grill runs alongside. The menu includes aubergine pad phet and a grilled pork chop from the charcoal grill, and a lychee sour cocktail sits on the drinks side. The kitchen changes its dishes with the seasons.

Customer Review Summary
The aubergine, often called aubergine pad phet, is the dish reviewers raise most, described as crispy outside with a creamy centre and out of this world. Close behind are the smoked pork belly with burnt chilli and the grilled pork chop, followed by the prawn and pineapple curry, the scallops and the heritage tomato salad. Two Thai diners say the food tastes like home with a chef's touch, and one calls the pad krapow probably the most authentic in London. The lychee sour is praised for its punch, though one reviewer finds it a bit sweet and wishes it came with a garnish. Several enjoy sitting at the counter watching the chefs cook, and servers get credit for their recommendations. Chilli is used liberally in almost every dish, and one diner found the moo ping tougher than the traditional version. It is busy, and one reviewer saw many walk-ins without bookings turned away. Another marked down the atmosphere because four different waiters in a row asked how everything was.

“I am obsessed with the aubergine. It is so good. As a Thai person, going to Singburi was a new experience. Food tastes like home but definitely has a chefs touch to it. Highlight on the pork chop as well. Delish! The vibe, the service and the overall experience was amazing. Drinks were yummy too.”

“As someone who spends a lot of time in Thailand every year this was a really nice reminder of the local flavours with a modern twist. Everything was cooked perfectly. I do wish another cut of meat had been used for the MooPing to be a bit closer to the traditional texture as this was a bit tougher. And that drinks like the lychee sour had a garnish, as the visual appearance of the drink didn’t really help to highlight how good it actually is. The tomato salad, steak and chicken were so flavourful and very well cooked. Minus one star for the atmosphere just because we had 4 different waiters consecutively come and ask us how everything was. This doesn’t reflect badly on the service itself but more on the fact it felt they were pushed to check on us. The prices are reasonable and I definitely see myself coming back. I’m excited to try other menu items.”

“Charcoaled grilled Thai food done really well. The aromas that flood the restaurant will leave you dribbling honestly. My fav dish was the aubergine pad phet and prawn curry, amazing flavours!”

“A delightful dinner! We were seated at the bar, overlooking the chefs preparing the food over an open flame. For smaller plates we got the pork belly (a must) and the watermelon salad, and for the bigger plates we got the prawn curry which was a lil spicy but delicious and the aubergine which alongside the pork belly was the star of the show! Totally recommend. The service was great, very attentive and friendly waiters who gave us great context & recommendations. The menu changes seasonally. I look forward to feasting there again 🔥 🍆 🥩 We also got 2 cocktails - one was lycee which was delicious but a bit on the sweeter side, and another one which was gin-based & minty and had a more subtle flavour (recommendation from the server which was most appreciated) The ambiance was really nice, great mood lighting though not the largest venue so best suited for smaller more intimate groups.”

“Disappointed that I did not get the chance to go to the original Leyton restaurant which supposedly a much homier, Auntie's cooking vibe in a casual, no-frills setting - but when the Shoreditch branch opened I still jumped at the opportunity to try Singburi! Probably the most authentic Pad Krapow in London (I'm Thai, Bangkok born and raised, so you can trust me!). The Moo Ping and most other dishes are definitely elevated/bougier takes on traditional foods - but man, you really cant fault that they still taste like home. Definitely will be coming back when I really need to scratch an itch.”
