About Champor-Champor
Champor-Champor is a Thai restaurant at 62-64 Weston St in London, pairing a Thai-Malay menu with a room decorated with artefacts, silks and statues and a balcony lit by candles. Green curry comes in king prawn, chicken and vegan versions, and king prawn pad thai sits alongside it on the menu. Dishes are not spicy by default, and extra fresh or dry chilli can be requested. Vegetarian and vegan options are listed for those who skip meat and fish. Evening tables are booked ahead and come with a 2-hour dining limit. A basement room takes diners when the main floor is full. Dessert includes a chocolate chilli cheesecake.

Customer Review Summary
Green curry is what reviewers return to most, from a tofu butternut squash version with basil oil to chicken and king prawn versions, plus a vegan one. Close behind, the chicken massaman was a favourite at one table, and others name the baby squid, shredded duck, crispy satay chicken and papaya salad. The chocolate chilli cheesecake and banana fritters with sorbet are the desserts mentioned. Curries are described as hefty, generous portions, and one reviewer notes the dishes are not spicy but extra fresh or dry chilli can be requested. Several praise friendly staff, and one says the team let their birthday table borrow a speaker for their own music. The main complaint is slow service on a busy Friday evening, which one diner said took away from the experience. Another notes the place gets very busy with a 2-hour dining limit, and one was seated in the basement room. A Tuesday evening was described as heaving, while a lunchtime visit was very quiet.

“Don’t miss this place - it’s a little hidden away but definitely worth the effort - we are food addicts and it certainly didn’t disappoint- on the contrary - fantastic delicious food and well worth it .”

“We visited champor champor as we were in London for a theatre show. I love Thai food and have been lucky to experience it around the globe. My wife has more of a UK palate. The staff were fantastic with their recommendations and helped us both pick perfect choices I started with the baby squid and my wife started with the shredded duck. Both were delicious and we really enjoyed them. For our mains I had a seafood platter, the sauce was excellent. I was warned that it was quite spicy but it was ideal, my wife went for the crispy satay chicken and really enjoyed it We finished with banana fritters and sorbet which really cleansed the palate We really enjoyed champor champor and would thoroughly recommend it We have found a place that we can both enjoy the food we like”

“Went to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderful time. Beautiful interior and very friendly staff. Made a reservation for 6 and the staff were very accommodating, especially Sutee who let my table borrow a speaker to play our own music. Both the starters and mains were incredible, very flavourful dishes. Curries were hefty but much appreciated portions. Would happily dine again, had a very special birthday here.”
