About Yada’s Kitchen
Yada's Kitchen is a family-run Middle Eastern restaurant in Peckham, London, cooking Kurdish food at 104 Rye Ln. The kitchen is BYOB, so guests bring their own drinks, and a corkage fee applies. Meals can open with pistachio hummus to share, served with hajari bread for dipping. Lamb shawarma is on the menu, and a platter for 2 gives a table a way to share the meal. Vegetarian and vegan options sit alongside the meat dishes, and shisha is part of the offer. The restaurant opens Tuesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the lamb and shawarma, with the meat described as tenderly cooked and beautifully plated, and the shawarma plate and falafel mezze plate named among the mains. Close behind are the dips: one group picked the pistachio hummus as its favourite over the baba ghanoush, and the light, fluffy Hajari bread for dipping drew praise. Several call the portions filling and the prices reasonable, and a few single out the vegetarian and vegan choices, the friendly service, and the BYOB setup. The hand-pressed orange and pomegranate juice also earns a mention. Criticism is mild but specific. One reviewer found the Razziana main and the starter hummus quite plain, another wanted a bigger portion of lamb in the shawarma, and one says the street-facing seating brings screaming and traffic noise. Another cautions that this is Peckham, so expectations of formal service may go unmet. One group celebrating a surprise birthday describes staff as lovely and helpful, and a returning diner hopes to be back for a third visit.

“Had a surprise birthday meal for my brother here today - the food was fantastic, with perfect portion sizes and a great price. The staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful. We had such a lovely time - will probably have my own birthday here next!”

“Well worth a visit, plenty of nice vegan options and good service too. The portions may not look big at first but believe me you'll be full. Atmosphere loses a few marks because it faces onto the high street with lots of screaming and traffic noise. Not entirely they're fault and wouldn't put me off another visit!”

“Positives: lovely baba ghanosh, delicious hand-pressed orange and pomegranate juice (bit pricey @ £6 a glass, but still tasty). Lovely atmosphere, and you can bring own alcohol with £2.50 corkage fee. Overall, reasonable prices. Negatives: my main (Razziana) and the hummus (as a starter) were both quite plain.”
