Customer Review Summary

Hand pulled and homemade noodles come up most, one reviewer praising the chewy texture and sauce, another recommending the chopped noodles. Lamb skewers, Uigre soup and a yoghurt drink also draw praise, and reviewers call the service friendly. One diner was served the main while halfway through the boiling soup, so it went cold. That meal ended with a rice pudding on the house.

“Exceptional This Uyghur restaurant is really a hidden gem. A few minutes just behind Tottenham court road station, you will find an authentic Uyghur restaurant. The place feels truly authentic, it's well kept and clean. The menù offers many choices and for most you can choose between meat and veggie options. The staff is friendly and prices are very good. I definitely recommend to try the homemade noodles, especially the chopped one. Make sure you book as the place tends to get busy.”

“Turban Uyghur Restaurant was a fantastic experience. The food was incredibly delicious rich flavours, fresh dishes, and a great introduction to Uyghur cuisine for my first time trying it. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, perfect for enjoying the meal.Service was welcoming and friendly, though I’d rate it 4 stars. The waiter did his best and was happy to help, but he could use a bit more training on the menu. My main dish was served while I was still halfway through my boiling‑hot soup, and by the time I finished the soup, the main had gone cold. It’s a small timing issue that can easily be improved. To their credit, they ended the meal with a delicious rice pudding on the house, which was a really kind gesture and left a great final impression.Overall, the food and atmosphere were excellent, and despite the small service hiccup, it’s absolutely a 5‑star place worth visiting.”

“Really enjoyed our visit to Turpan Uyghur Restaurant, conveniently located near Tottenham Court Road Underground Station. The owner, who is from Ili Xinjiang, was very friendly and welcoming. We tried the Toho Qordaq and Qoruma Chicken, …”

“Cosy ambience and friendly, accommodating service, but that is not the best thing. The food is what sets it apart. You are confused between a mix of Italian and middle eastern flavours, yet you can't quite place what they each are. No matter, the main thing is the combination works, extremely well. We went for the Uigre Soup and it was superb! A very soothing and pleasant looking dish, as seen in the photo. The hand pulled noodles dish was also excellent because the noodles were very chewy, not to mention the sauce is much nicer than the pasta sauce they resemble. Both dishes are seasoned to perfection and not salty at all, but we were thankful for the yummy yoghurt drink because it was 30C outside 🥵 But that is still not the highlight.. Try the lamb skewers. They look like some overcooked lamb kebab in the photo, until you taste them. The meat is so tender and loaded with flavour, and when you get to the end, the last bit has a subtle layer of fat that makes it melt in your mouth without chewing, all for £4! We were fully expecting to be given knives and forks, but were pleasantly surprised to be given chopsticks ☺️”
