  “Horrible customer service we just ordered a cold messy. They decided to put everything in one single container and everything is mixed when I called to complain. They told me they do it with every single person so I should accept and it’s OK completely unacceptable the food is dry as well.”

  “I am extremely disappointed with my experience at your restaurant last Monday. I visited your restaurant with my family, and we ordered food worth £140. Unfortunately, one of the dishes, the Adana kebab, had a very bad smell and seemed to be spoiled. I immediately called the waiter and informed him about the issue. He told me that he would go upstairs and speak to the chefs, but after waiting, I received no proper response or action. Later, he told me that other customers had eaten it and no one else had complained. I found this response very unprofessional and unacceptable. I then asked him to taste the kebab himself if he believed it was fine, but he refused. I also went to the cash counter to report the issue, but even there, nobody provided a proper apology, solution, or showed any concern for my complaint. Instead, they insisted that their kebab was perfectly fine. The way my complaint was handled was extremely disappointing. A restaurant should take customers’ health concerns seriously, especially when a customer reports that food has a bad smell. I expected a respectful response and a proper resolution, but unfortunately, your staff’s attitude was careless and unacceptable. Because of this experience and the poor customer service, I will not be visiting your restaurant again, and I would not recommend it to my family or friends. I hope you take this complaint seriously and improve your food quality and staff behaviour in the future. Thank you”

  “Our favourite place to munch here at SHISH, absolutely delicious but the services are very slow. We really enjoyed our platters shish 2 and it was very favourable, salaad are fresh, bread are soft, olives are banging everything came out 10/10!!!.”

  “We ordered a large platter, quantity of the dish was fine, the quality of the meat aspects of the dish were very poor. chops and ribs was not enough Cooked. kebab had a very bad smell as meat had gone off.(clearly, the Meat mince was off). when we notified them, there is no action. if anyone ask me for recommendation, answer is no.”

  “I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place genuinely deserves it. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality stood out straight away. Every dish felt thoughtfully put together, blending rich, smoky Turkish flavors with the aromatic spices and depth you’d expect from Bengali cooking. The lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned, and one of the standout dishes had this beautiful balance of spice and warmth. Honestly, one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in a while. I’ll definitely be coming back — and bringing friends with me”

  “Mixed Grill was superb (every grilled item had authentic taste and cooked to perfection - loved it), the rice is probably not quiet the Turkish type of rice we would expect (I prefer to have, works better as well) the improper choice of rice hamepers the turkish experience. Stake fries were great with cool deep fry basket presentation. Hot mezze was really good for £10, tasty and piping fresh. Cold mezze portion size was disappointing. Not acceptable at all. The grilled chicken item (not pictured) is really succulent but it is basted in the chilli sauce they serve (like a good PFC chilli sauce). I personally would prefer a different base flavour so the chilli sauce is not the flavour of my grilled chicken!! There's a crossover somewhere between Turkish and a local grilled food/pfc of some sort and there's this need to go to a Turkish only place somehow...(maybe minor adjustments like adjust the rice, have separate menus etc.). Good value. Service is not so attentive but the place is cosy and seating is comfortable even the chairs have leather padding. Recommended for good value, reliable eating.”

  “I have fond memories of visiting this restaurant frequently in my youth, drawn in by the delicious food. Last week, I decided to revisit, but I was left disappointed with my meal. The chicken was dry, and the salad seemed to be lacking in quality, missing the pomegranate sauce that used to be a highlight. The Lamb shish was descent. While the service was decent, the chicken no longer had the tenderness and moisture I remembered. Additionally, they only accept cash payments.”

  “Food: 5/5 the mix grill Shish Special 3 was plenty for 3 adults and there was left over. The meat, chops, ribs and the chicken pieces were beautiful tender and tasty 😋. Service: 4/5 the waiter showed us the table, took the order and gave the glass for the drinks, gave the warm bread with condiments and forgot about the drink which we had to remind him and that was it, he left us in peace and not checking if we wanted anything else or not. Atmosphere: 3/5 the place was tidy but could have been much more pleasant in regards to the cleanliness and WC. Probably needs a fresh liquor of paint.”

  “The food is delicious and very spacious. Try the half chicken with rice/fries. They are the best. Staffs can be little more friendly. The best part of the turkish food is the starter they always give it for free (Naan- Bread, Salad and chilli dip) to be honest that is way better than the actual ordered food. They have large seating area in the underground-but no access to wheelchair. Party size can be pre-booked. They only accept cash (at the time of review) so prepare to have cash to avoid disappointment.”

  “Customer service - 3/5 Seating availablity - 4/5 Time taken to order food - 5/5 Time taken for food to arrive - 4/5 Food - 3/5 Price - 4/5 Restaurant appearance - 3/5 Recommend? Take away only. Wasn't the best place to eat, however it may good for some quick takeaway (best to order over phone and collect). It didn't seem like hygiene was a priority for them (see images). None of the waiters even smiled but the food was fairly quick to arrive. In between waiting for the food, salad and bread was served. None of the meals come with drinks (not even kids meals). I may come back to try their grilled chicken for take away only.”
