About Spice Hut
On Mile End Rd in London, Spice Hut is a halal restaurant at number 220 that opens daily. The menu pairs the Shatkora donner, a doner kebab, with burgers and Indian curries, so one order can mix kebab and curry dishes. The curry list includes dal and dansak. Chicken wings are on offer, including fried wings, and the doner is cooked in large batches. Orders are placed at the counter. Shakes and lassi are sold to go with the food, among them a strawberry shake.

Customer Review Summary
The doner draws the most mentions and splits reviewers sharply. One long-time customer calls the spicy doner banging, while another found it overcooked with a horrible sauce. A third calls the shatkora donner a favourite but reports finding a snail shell in it, and describes the place as dirty and greasy. Wings come up close behind, described as old and dry with burnt-smelling chips, and one reviewer reports food poisoning afterward. Another waited well over an hour for six fried wings as delivery drivers kept cancelling. Curries draw complaints for arriving cold, including a flat dal, a runny lamb dansak lacking flavour, and a second curry with an overpowering tangy taste. Several mention dirty tables and floors and rude counter staff. The strawberry shake and lacchi earn praise, with one reviewer noting the young man took orders and made the drinks at the same time. One reviewer says a counter worker told them he did not care if they complained.

“The food is banging been going there for years. Might have had a issues few times but that's expected from anywhere. Overall if you're in east London and love a good spicy doner got to try this place out.”

“I ordered a lamb( 100% sure mutton was used) dansak the dish was very runny with lentils lacked flavour, a dansak should be sweet and spicy on the thick side, I guess they speciality is chicken and and wings”

“I didn’t know Spice hut selling shakes and lacchi. I tried them which was really good. The young guy was taking order and makings them at same time was really challenging but still the service was amazing. I tried strawberry shake. Highly recommended.”

“Very Rude and moody guy at the counter in the evening. Very bad customer service. Spice hut is not what it used to be long ago. This is not the same food as before. Terrible service. he said he doesn’t care if i complain. The owners of the company (spice hut) should speak to him because they are good. Unfortunately the person at the counter, is very rude.”

“I order 6 fried wings online and took over an hour for it to arrive. Delivery drivers kept canceling and after nearly an hour and half, someone picked my ordered and I asked him if the shop was busy? He said the resturant keep ignoring deliveries and focuses elsewhere! The staff are apparently very rude too and they take over an hour to pack 6 wings into a bag!! Overall, save your money and order from KFC, you will get better quality and much faster delivery”
