Quick info
About Whitechapel Fried Chicken
Whitechapel Fried Chicken is a fried chicken takeaway and fast food restaurant in London, at 233 Whitechapel Rd on Whitechapel high street, near the station and hospital. The ten-item menu is built around chicken, with the Naga Doner and naga-flavoured wings leading the range and a shatkora doner alongside. Doner spice level can be adjusted by asking for more or less, and a chilli sauce is offered for those who want extra heat. Burgers, chicken nuggets, and grilled chicken and chips are sold as meals. The whole menu is halal. Orders are placed and collected at the counter, and the shop opens daily.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers split sharply, and the naga doner draws the most praise, with fans calling it a spicy kick and saying the staff will adjust the heat. One reviewer also singles out the shatkora doner, and others mention fresh, crispy wings and chips, a special chilli sauce, and halal food. Friendly, fast service comes up among the positives. The complaints are more numerous. Many call the portions small and the pricing high next to other fried chicken shops, citing extra charges for a chicken doner without the meal and a till total that differed from the screen. Food problems include a burger with a side breast piece and a bone instead of a fillet, wings that were not crispy despite assurance, greyish batter that came off in one pull, and chicken that arrived pink after a long wait with staff on their phones. One reviewer reports flies and dirty toilets, and another says a request for a cold drink was refused unless paid for in cash. One reviewer says a replacement meal came with no money off.

“Great place to have a naga doner meal but recently went to buy some without the meal and wanted the chicken doner itself. Took my payment and went to confirm with them that its chicken and they told me it was £2 extra. 2 naga doner meals costs me less than £20 but the price is still the same without it? Make it make sense. Either theyre overcharging their customers or they dont know what the prices are for their own menus.”

“I got this chicken doner and chicken nuggets meal from Whitechapel fried chicken and just have a look at the potions they’re ridiculously small and not worth the price at all, the chicken doner was given in a small box and the potion is not even enough for a small kid and the chicken nuggets was over cooked and they gave less amount of chips. I went there few other times but their service, their food is ridiculous and rubbish and they don’t give a damn about the customers and always have attitude, always messed up with the food or with the order, I would never recommend anyone to go and try their food it’s absolutely disgusting and waste of money.”
