Customer Review Summary
Portuguese wine anchors the praise, with reviewers describing a detailed list that explains each winery and servers who are knowledgeable and help choose a bottle. One says it changed their impression of Portuguese wine. Tapas come close behind, with the seafood rice of langoustines and mussels, garlic and chilli prawns, bacalhau fritters, octopus, scallops and a pork chop bun (bifana) all named. Desserts such as pastel de nata, chocolate fondant and crème brûlée also draw mentions, and the setting is called cozy and rustic. Service is mostly described as warm and friendly, though one reviewer calls the waiters snappy and seemingly indifferent, a theatre they ended up enjoying. Another wanted fresher prawns and a less watery sauce, and noted that the few main courses make dinner less certain than a tapas afternoon. A wedding client said the food and wine suited meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. One diner left with two pastel de nata on the house.

“We could not recommend Pedro's highly enough. From our first visit through to the wedding itself, Pedro and his team did everything they could to ensure our day was exactly as we had imagined. Communication throughout the planning process was excellent. Pedro was incredibly generous with his time, hosting tastings for us and our parents, sharing ideas and advice, and helping us navigate countless decisions in the lead-up to the wedding. It always felt as though he genuinely cared about creating the best possible experience for us, rather than simply hosting an event. What really sets Pedro's apart is the people. Pedro and his team are warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely to be around. In the lead-up to the wedding they made us feel completely looked after, and on the day itself they somehow managed everything seamlessly behind the scenes. Any issues were dealt with quietly and professionally, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment with our guests. You could also see how much the team were enjoying the celebration, which added to the atmosphere and made the evening feel even more special. The food and wine were fantastic and received endless compliments from our guests throughout the evening. We had a mix of meat-eaters and vegetarians attending, and everyone felt equally well catered for. So many of our guests came up to us afterwards to comment on the quality of the food. The venue itself is beautiful, and Pedro went above and beyond to accommodate exactly how we wanted to use and arrange the space. The setting created a wonderful atmosphere for the celebration, and our photographs, both inside the restaurant and along the street outside, turned out spectacularly. Pedro's was such a special part of our wedding and we will always be grateful to Pedro and his team for helping create such an unforgettable day. We look forward to returning many times in the future — not just because we love the restaurant, but because of the people who made it feel so special.”

“Very cool venue: I liked the style and ambience. Very good and delicious food, especially considering this is a wine bar first. I liked the interactive aspect of some dishes (chorizo), liked the presentation and also liked the wine. The service is special, it’s a whole experience and theatre: waiters are snappy, smart, fun and seemingly do not care about you and yet somehow this still feels better than the average service level you get in Czech republic. You will need to show your wit, beg and bribe and you know what? I kind of dig it. A very fun place!”

“I love the bacalhau fritters! I could have the whole order to myself... First time having a pork chop bun (bifana) in London =) Our waiter Helbert is very nice and friendly.”

“What a lovely little gem of a wine bar! The staff were absolutely incredible from start to finish, so welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They took the time to recommend wines and made the whole experience feel really special. The wine selection was excellent, with something for every taste, and the tapas were an easy 10/10 - every dish was fresh, flavourful, and perfect for sharing alongside a glass (or multiple bottles in our case) of wine. A fantastic atmosphere, amazing food, and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great wine and tapas spot in London.”

“Great food and service. Well done! Helbert knows how to talk to customers, he is very kind and helpful, fast service. He has knowledge regarding Portuguese wine varieties. I will come back with my friends. I’ve got 2 pastel de Nata on the house. Thank you!”
