Customer Review Summary

The caveats are about consistency. One reviewer found the duck not genuine and said only two of ten dishes were good, while another called the noodles dry and bland and the salt and pepper ribs and squid short on flavour. One mentions an off-putting smell inside, and another found the hotpot a bit overpriced. A set A hotpot with three soups came with extra ingredients for mixing sauce.

“The duck is not genuine so don’t expect good quality. Some dishes taste are far below the expectations. Good decoration for sure. Only two out of ten dishes are good. Not recommended for dishes. Most people eat hotpot so hotpot might be better?”

“Really enjoyed our meal here. We came specifically for the Signature Sichuan Sea Bass Pot, and it definitely lived up to expectations. The pickled broth was the standout for me. It had the perfect balance of tang and spice, and I kept finding myself going back for another spoonful. The fish itself was super tender too. We also had the Stir Fried Tomato & Egg, Stir-Fried Green Beans with Minced Garlic, Morning Glory with Shrimp Paste, Soft Shell Crab, Sichuan Style Diced Chicken, Egg Fried Rice and Green Pak-Choi with Shiitake & Garlic. Everything was fresh, full of flavour and great for sharing. I'd happily come back again, especially for that sea bass pot and the broth.”

“The food here is absolutely delicious, with generous portions and plenty of variety to choose from. We tried a great selection of dishes, and my favourites were the prawn ravioli, the truffle fried rice, and the lamb in black bean sauce. We finished the meal with the matcha ice cream, which was the perfect ending—light, refreshing, and absolutely delightful. The staff were all so lovely and provided excellent customer service throughout our visit. Friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back!”

“Really great dining experience at Dragon Inn Club near Victoria. The restaurant has a very unique atmosphere — kind of like stepping into a traditional Chinese martial arts tavern. Warm lighting, wooden interiors, and a lively vibe make it feel very different from a typical Chinese restaurant in London. We tried the Beijing duck, which was really fun to watch being carved fresh at the table. The meat was tender and flavourful, and I liked the creative way it was served with crispy prawn crackers. They also reuse the remaining duck in a stir-fry with lettuce wraps, which was a nice touch. The signature grilled fish was another highlight — rich, spicy, and full of flavour. The fish was soft and well-cooked, and the broth was really aromatic with Sichuan-style spices. The vegetables soaked up all the sauce and were just as good as the fish itself. We also had a few stir-fried dishes like salt and pepper prawns and pork ribs, all cooked fresh with a strong “wok hei” flavour. The pickled cabbage dishes with duck blood and intestines were surprisingly good too — no strong smell, just very flavourful and well-balanced. To finish, we had their matcha ice cream dessert, which was a nice light ending after a rich meal. Overall, a very solid and memorable experience. The food, atmosphere, and service are all well balanced — definitely a place I’d come back to again.”

“SICHUAN GRILLED SEA BASS!!! £39 for 1 whole fish, 2 dishes… Honestly, this place completely blew me away. The staff here are incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant's concept—which is sadly a rarity in Europe. It made the entire dining experience feel seamless and upscale. As someone who knows authentic Chinese food, I felt genuinely proud to see such a high-caliber Chinese restaurant executing everything so flawlessly in such a unique location. They aren't watering down the flavors to compromise; the execution is sharp, authentic, and precise. The price is surprisingly very reasonable for the quality and experience you get, even offering an above-average value standard compared to the usual options around. If you are looking for exceptional service, genuine hospitality, and an unforgettable Sichuan grilled fish, this is the absolute benchmark. Highly recommended!”
