Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the chicken schnitzel and fries, which one reviewer found worth the wait and another shared with cod cheeks in tartare sauce and a juicy burger. Close behind are the sourdough with butter, praised by two reviewers, and the cheeseburger with its pepper. Others name the rolled lamb belly with potatoes as the highlight of a dinner, along with the mussels, a refreshing crudo, and a chocolate mousse with olive oil and salt. The wine list and the outdoor seating beside the canal also earn praise, though one reviewer found too little shade on a hot day. Several describe the staff as friendly or lovely, but service is not uniformly warm. One lunch guest found the server uninterested, with no menu explanations and a request for extra chilli in the crab pasta ignored, and called the risotto watery and underseasoned. One diner found the pork sauce too sweet. Another waited a long time for a dish, and the waiter apologised for forgetting to put the order through.

“Came for a spontaneous solo dinner as it was quite close by and had heard it recently opened and had wanted to go and try out the food. I sat outside as the weather was lovely and had the view of the canal. The food was good, would say skip the pork as the sauce was a little too sweet for my liking, but would definitely recommend the mussels and sourdough bread with the butter😍(always a good sign if the bread is good). Only reason why this wasn’t 5 stars was the amount of time it took to get one of the dishes I ordered , I appreciated the honesty of the waiter who apologised about forgetting to put my order through as i could tell it was quite busy.”

“Good vibes. Good service and food variety was good and taste wise not bad. Cosy place around the canal. Wouldn’t revisit just for this since its far, and not too convenient to come for me, but perhaps if I was in the area and looking for something to dine.”

“Overall a nice lunch. Been wanting to come for a while. The service felt lacking – not sure if it was just Sunday vibe but was quite uninterested and low energy. Didn’t explain anything on the menu, no recommendations, didn’t get us excited. My husband asked for extra chilli in the crab pasta but seemed to be ignored and was disappointed. The risotto was nice but needed seasoning, and was a bit watery. I would definitely come again but first visit wasn’t 10/10 which I thought it would be for sure. Obviously a lovely spot by the canal and sitting outdoors would be really nice. There just wasn’t enough shade on a hot day although sitting inside was fine for us.”

“Perfect experience. Food was not only insanely well presented but it was so fresh, so delicious. The outdoor seating on the canal is lovely also”

“We had dinner there and the food was amazing. The wine list too, great location in an area that is not too crowded. The restaurant is spacious and simple and the staff were very friendly and professional. A great experience and definitely recommended.”
