Customer Review Summary

Steak is the draw, with reviewers praising ribeye and fillet cooked medium rare, and others singling out the char marks and the sirloin and ribeye cuts on the steak tasting board. Close behind are the service and welcome, with staff described as friendly and attentive, and the wine, including a bottle of Patagonian Malbec. Starters, a goats cheese salad, desserts and a juicy chicken dish for a non-red-meat eater also earn mentions. The caveat is consistency in the kitchen. Several say steaks arrived too raw, with the rump and fillet on the tasting board rare inside and hard to chew, and one ordered rare and got meat that was too raw. Another found overcooked steak and a hard burger bun, and one found a lot of fat running through both steaks. Reviewers call prices high, and a few say the food did not match them, while sides like mashed potatoes and chips were called underwhelming. Tables are described as a bit cramped. One anniversary couple were surprised with a complimentary glass of prosecco each.

“The staff were absolutely lovely and really made us feel welcome. They remembered it was our anniversary and surprised us with a complimentary glass of prosecco each, which was such a nice touch and really appreciated. The steaks were cooked exactly how we asked, so no complaints there, but unfortunately both had a lot more fat running through them than we expected, and we found the quality of the meat quite disappointing. The mashed potatoes and chips were fine, but pretty underwhelming and nothing particularly special. Really lovely service and a nice atmosphere, but for us the quality of the food, especially the steak, didn’t quite match it.”

“What a fantastic find on Turnham Green Terrace. We had such a wonderful evening here and felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. The steak was absolutely perfectly cooked, with those distinct, professional char marks. It was served with such care, and we really appreciated the open kitchen atmosphere where you can see the effort that goes into every dish. To top it all off, the dessert was a total highlight. The presentation, complete with delicate lemon slices and a dusting of sugar, was spot on. We will definitely be back soon.”

“A bit disappointed. Atmosphere was great, service was excellent, but the food was just average. The burger bun was kind of hard I don’t know if it’s normal. Steak was overcooked. This is a nice place for a great catch up with friends, but not the best place to eat.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this steakhouse. I’m not a read meat eater so I was pleasantly surprised at the delicious alternative options available. I went with the chicken and it was so juicy and flavoursome. The staff were exceptional, attentive and professional. We dined about 6pm so the space was comfortably busy but not overly full which made for a very pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend.”

“It was a Sunday visit for bday. From the moment we walked in, we were. Warmly welcomed. The service team was excellent. We ordered Rib eye and file steaks, medium rare — cooked perfectly. Also ordered fries, and salad, was OK. We also had a bottle of Patagonian Malbec. It was a perfect way to end our holiday as well as my wife’s bday in London. All the staff were very friendly. We would definitely come back. Strongly recommended ….”
