Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the seared tuna, whether in a tuna salad with olives or a salad nicoise, and they praise it alongside a run of other plates. The cauliflower cheese croquettes, mussels in a coconut broth with a chilli hit, and chipotle butter prawns draw praise as starters. Named mains include a pork belly with creamy mash that one reviewer calls the best they have tasted, a shrimp burger, a breaded sesame chicken schnitzel and steak tartare. Close behind are the cocktails and a varied wine list, then desserts such as a vegan chocolate brownie and peach melba with vanilla beignets and lemon curd. Reviewers describe a friendly, laid back team, a manager who made a private drinks party with canapes and bowl food problem-free, and a table found on short notice on a busy Saturday. Several mention small gestures, including a complimentary birthday cheesecake and a sorbet sent out on the house for a date night, which the couple's daughter ended up tucking into.

“Delicious food! I had the Chipotle butter prawns for starters, salad nicoise with seared tuna for my main and shared peach melba and vanilla beignets with lemon curd for dessert. Yum yum yum!! Our waiter sam was really great and made our afternoon very enjoyable. Very lovely restaurant for the area with reasonable prices and a set menu that changes so you get to experience all the fantastic food Home 13 has to offer!”

“Great food and hospitality ! We had a friend leaving and venture out to Barnes area in this nice summer day. Thanks for all the comments here, we managed to try this restaurant. We ordered all the starters and loved them! The mains and desserts were good as well. Worth coming back again.”

“I had a private drinks party, with canapes and bowl food at Home SW13 recently and it was absolutely fabulous in every way ... the lovely private space, really delicious food and drink, staff that were welcoming, friendly and very good at their jobs. And the manager Alan Parry made the planning and logistics of everything problem-free. I would whole-heartedly recommend this restaurant!”

“Wow wow wow! We are very particular about our food but Home SW13 blew us away! From the moment we walked in Alan the Manager and Lottie our lovely server were straight on it! A lovely cocktail to get things going and then a warm up with the cauliflower cheese croquettes. To die for! We then shared the mussels - a great choice and just the right level of chilli hit in a fragrant coconut broth with hints of lemon grass. And then the Main Event. That Shrimp Burger and the Pork Belly - which was the best I’ve ever tasted - crispy, salty and tender, accompanied by creamy mash, spinach and a jus that was spot on. And to top it all off we shared a complimentary cheesecake that was very kindly decorated with best wishes to the birthday girl. A very varied wine list helped wash things down! A hidden gem in the heart of Barnes. We will be back!”

“Home SW13 and Home SW15 are sister restaurants based in Barnes and Putney. Our ethos is based on great food and exceptional service and our aim is to be the neighbourhood restaurants our communities deserve. Both restaurants are casual enough for impromptu visits for a drink or for brunch. However they are also special enough for celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries”
