Customer Review Summary
Chicken draws the most praise, from the whole marinated chicken that one group says feeds three to four people, to a chicken taouk wrap and the tender chicken and lamb a regular takeaway customer orders. Close behind are generous portions and fresh, fragrant food, with fattoush salad named twice, alongside the fatteh, manakish, aubergine stew, mixed grill platter, charred corn, batata harra and house hummus. Several describe warm, friendly staff, and one pair returned twice during a five day trip. The complaints are specific. One diner received cold food, including the chips, with oily aubergine and dry, tasteless falafel, and left the kebab without comment. Another waited a long time for a receipt as staff chatted among themselves, and a third says a "no pickles" note was ignored on two separate orders, with staff defensive and offering no apology. Still, when food was slow to arrive, one table was given a free starter.

“We order takeaway from this place a quite often. The quality of the food is really great, chicken and lamb are always tender and fresh. The size of the portions are also good.”

“I got a chicken taouk wrap, fattoush salad, and spiced potatoes takeaway. The food was piping hot and fresh, absolutely delicious, and really well-priced. The servers and chefs I saw were also warm and friendly with lovely kind energy. I cannot recommend Bayroot highly enough: it’s truly a hidden gem.”

“This place is usually good but unfortunately I’ve been let down twice now. I specified that I am allergic to pickles. Once I ordered in store takeaway, specified to the chef that I do not want pickles. Opened up wrap, bit inside and then was sick and had an allergic reaction. The same thing has happened again this time via Uber Eats after leave a special note with “NO PICKLES” . Staff were rude and defensive. No apology just kept saying “it’s not our fault” Once is a mistake, twice is just incompetence. I will not order here again based on the rudeness of the staff and their reaction to my allergy.”

“The best Lebanese food I've had. The Bayroot humous was amazing a decent portion. The corn was charred but juicy. Batata harra and fries were perfectly seasoned. 11/10 will miss it when I leave london”
