Quick info
About KOI Ramen Bar (Elephant Park)
On Sayer St in London, KOI Ramen Bar occupies a small, compact space at Elephant Park. The menu stays limited and focused on ramen, with tonkotsu served with a single slice of pork and a miso version offered alongside, including a vegetarian option with fried tofu cooked on its own separate skillet. Gyoza rounds out the food list. Seating fills quickly given the size of the room. The bar takes walk-ins rather than reservations, so arrival times can mean a wait for a table.

Customer Review Summary
Miso pork ramen and tonkotsu ramen draw the most attention, with several diners praising the broth as flavorful and reasonably priced, especially at the £9.95 lunch price. Close behind, the gyozas and dumplings with spring onions get repeat mentions, and the vegetarian miso with fried tofu earns praise for being cooked separately from meat. Several reviewers flag a single, skimpy slice of pork as a letdown given the portion size, and one delivery order arrived late with a disappointing amount of meat. A few note the broth can taste average or under-seasoned, needing added soy sauce, and one gyoza order lacked crispness. One diner describes being rushed to finish eating outside near closing, denied cutlery, and served another table's non-vegetarian dish by mistake. Others still highlight the small, busy room, quick service, and an outdoor area good for summer, with the Lemon Ramune and cheap green tea also mentioned.

“I doubted an app could pick a good restaurant. This app found this place and counts calories from a photo. The dumplings with spring onions fit my low daily calories well and tasted good. The room is comfortable and quiet.”

“The raven broth is tasteless, there's no seasoning available , however adding soy sauce made it edible. I was told if you wanna eat in can you do it in 10 mins , to which I agreed and sat outside. Then was told that we're closing outside as well, this is at 09:45 pm. So definitely didn't feel welcomed. I was also served non vegetarian food from the other table without even checking. Had to pick tissues, cutle4y myself as it wasn't even give . All in 1/5.”

“Overall, this was a disappointing experience. The ramen broth was quite average and nothing particularly memorable, especially considering the price. The menu was already fairly limited, so I was expecting the food quality to be exceptional, but it turned out to be very ordinary. The gyoza was another letdown. The base wasn’t crispy as expected, and honestly I’ve had homemade pan-fried gyoza that tasted better. For the price and limited selection, I expected much more. There are definitely better ramen options elsewhere, so unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be returning.”

“Good food, good prices, quick service. They have an outdoor area perfect for summer. Cheap green tea as well. Lovely.”

“AVOID if ordering via delivery. Much better value and tastier options in the SE Ldn area. Food arrived much later than expected then was disappointed by the flavour and worst of all one little slice of pork - talk about being stingy!! Will stick to other options in future, other places offer more meat, an egg and better flavour for around the same price.”
