Diners single out the pizza as the standout, with the margherita and carbonara versions repeatedly praised for their crisp base and satisfying flavour. Close behind are the arancini, burrata, and chicken Milanese, while the mushroom and buffalo pizzas also earn mentions. Several describe the cocktails as excellent and the atmosphere as cosy, though one notes the space can feel more like a bar and get noisy with groups. A few report slow service due to understaffing and say the interiors, especially the bathrooms, need refreshing. One reviewer highlights the absence of alcohol-free beer or cocktails. A diner describes receiving warm Nutella donuts with cinnamon and orange zest on the house.

“I was slightly disappointed having read all the great reviews about Clifford's, as our experience was mixed. Whilst the service was friendly, they were clearly understaffed and it was incredibly slow - we had to try and get their attention several times. The restaurant feels more like a bar and was very noisy with a few groups drinking. The food was quick once ordered and was fine - decent pizzas. No alcohol free beer or cocktails on the menu. The interiors are a little tired and need an uplift, especially the bathrooms... all in all, perhaps I am being harsh but we probably wouldn't go back.”

“We can’t recommend this restaurant enough! We loved it so much that we went back the following night. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the cocktails are top-notch, and the pizza is is the best we've had in London. Our margherita pizza came out perfectly crisp, exactly how we asked for it. The staff were warm, friendly, and made us feel right at home.”

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
