“Such a beautiful last night of my Hampstead stay. Solo dinner at this stunning Italian restaurant, tucked down a quiet side lane. It’s one of those places that if you don’t know about it you’d miss it! Food and service felt elevated and made for a very memorable meal. Best mushroom pappardelle I’ve ever tasted! So great to meet Agon too, the perfect host!”

“Lunch out in the leafy suburb of hampstead. My daughter has a very good talent in finding the right places. This is an exceptional italian menu, both a la carte and set lunch are reasonably priced. Great Front of house. Negroni and Oysters followed by Linguine alle vongole. Risotto ai quattro formaggi for my daughter, homemade ravioli for my wife. Great lista dei vini The excellent house rose was wonderful. If you happen to be in Hampstead, a visit should be in your plans.”

“Very disappointing experience from start to finish. Asked for the lamb to be very well done, but it arrived swimming in blood and was completely unacceptable. The prawns were the blandest I’ve ever tasted, and the salad was dry and unappetising. We couldn’t eat our meals and ended up leaving. The service was poor as well. We had to wait ages for our drinks and even longer to receive cutlery. When we raised our concerns about the food, the manager was dismissive, offered no apology, and simply walked away instead of trying to resolve the situation. To make matters worse, despite us being unable to eat our food, we were still charged for one of the meals. Considering the restaurant only has a 3-star hygiene rating, the overall experience was even more concerning. I would not recommend this restaurant and certainly won’t be returning.”

“We recently hosted a private lunch for a group of Hampstead professionals at Villa Bianca and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was exceptional, attentive, professional and genuinely welcoming throughout the event. Organising a group lunch can sometimes be challenging, but everything ran seamlessly and our guests were extremely well looked after. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect for networking and conversation, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure the afternoon was a success. A huge thank you to the entire team for helping us host such an enjoyable and memorable event. We would highly recommend and look forward to returning again soon”

“The place is new to me but I was introduced to it by a friend who has known it for over 30 years. And this is some powerful testimony as to the quality of the experience. We enjoyed a late lunch. The food was great. The service was efficient and most friendly. The interior is charming. I'm fully set on returning at the earliest opportunity and confidently introducing my other friends to VB.”

Customer Review Summary

Diners most often single out the manager, whom several reviewers credit with a warm welcome and with steering them toward specials, desserts and wine, including a Barolo paired with the rigatoni al ragu di agnello. Close behind is the food: linguine alle vongole, homemade ravioli, risotto ai quattro formaggi, mushroom pappardelle, and calamari and zucchini fritti are all named, along with oysters and a negroni to start. Reviewers also mention live piano music, a charming interior, a good wine list and a private group lunch that ran seamlessly. One dissenting reviewer describes a very different visit: lamb requested very well done that arrived swimming in blood, bland prawns, a dry salad, long waits for drinks and cutlery, and a dismissive manager who offered no apology. That diner left without eating, says they were still charged for one meal, and also cited the restaurant's hygiene rating. Another table recalls singing happy birthday to other diners at least three times.
