About Salt Whisky Bar and Dining Room
At 82 Seymour St in London, Salt Whisky Bar and Dining Room is an Indian restaurant that pairs a full food menu with a whisky bar. The whisky list is large and sits alongside a wide range of other drinks, including a Watermelon Martini. The kitchen's Indian menu includes Crispy Paneer and Malai Kebab. Shisha is served on an outdoor patio, and there is no time limit on it, so a table can settle in for the evening. A private dining room is available for groups, and group bookings are taken. The team asks about expected food and shisha orders when a group books. Live singing takes place on Thursdays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the authentic Indian food, naming Masala Peanuts, Crispy Paneer, Pani Poori, Chilli Chicken, Malai Kebab and Fried Prawns as flavourful and fresh, with generous portions. Close behind is the staff, described repeatedly as friendly, with one server singled out for explaining the dishes and advising on choices. The shisha earns its own praise on Edgware Road, and one reviewer notes there are no time limits. Several also point to the whisky selection and a massive drinks list, and one found the Watermelon Martini refreshing. The main complaint comes from a party of 12 who found the staff and manager rude, saying they were repeatedly asked how much food and how many shishas they would order, and that they will not return. Another diner recalls the Thursday live singing adding to the evening.

“We have just had an excellent evening at the Salt and Whisky Bar. The food was excellent and the menu was very varied and interesting. Our waitress Saditi was outstanding! She explained the different foods and advised us on our choices. We were all impressed by her attentiveness and ensuring we had a lovely meal. We will certainly return here the next time we come to London.”

“The best shisha bar on Edgware Road, the only one that says alcohol and has an amazing whisky selection. The staff are very friendly and fantastic shisha!”

“Very rude staff and manager. We booked a table for 12 people, but they kept asking unnecessary questions about how much food and how many shishas we would order. It felt disrespectful and unwelcoming. Poor customer service, and we will not be coming back. We were planning to order a lot of dishes but because we were mainly there for dinner, but we hated the experience.”

“Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The Thursday live singing added a beautiful ambience and made the evening feel special… The food was excellent and truly worth every penny. Watermelon Martini was very refreshing. Dishes we enjoyed: Crispy Paneer, Pani Poori, Chilli Chicken, Malai Kebab, and Fried Prawns ….each dish was flavourful, fresh, and very well prepared. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with great atmosphere, quality food, and memorable service. Highly recommended.”
