  “Very disappointing experience at KFC Old Street. We ordered two portions of 12 wings (24 wings total), which were packed together in one bucket, and almost all of them were burnt. * MANOJ* was serving us, and from what I observed, there were clearly two batches—burnt wings on top and normal-looking wings underneath. I watched him take several from the burnt batch and only one or so from the better batch repeatedly before giving us our order. It appeared intentional because the difference between the two batches was obvious. I have photos showing exactly what we received. Really unacceptable quality and service.”

  “I want to highlight the top service the female worker has provided today. She was very friendly and attentive and a hard worker running the front of house. This was during my visit at 6pm on 14/06/2026. Kudos to this particular worker and she knows who she is!”

  “I had chance to go there and try food. The food had good taste and the level of service was ok. The chicken meal which I order was ready within 10 minutes and it was clearly seen that it was freshly made. Will go there again soon.”

  “They are always so short staffed, no matter the time of day. The food takes ages to prepare and when you receive, it you're guaranteed to be disappointed. Avoid avoid avoid.”

  “We ordered a takeaway for delivery and the delivery service was good. I wish I could say the same for the chicken. I do not know if KFC have changed the recipe for the coating on their chicken but what we received was best described as meh! It tasted like supermarket chicken. It was definitely not the taste we expected. It was as if they ran out of the coating and rushed to the local supermarket for supplies.”

  “KFC Old Street gets five stars from me for the food and the efforts of the team, but the in-store atmosphere really needs urgent attention. Overall impression The branch is a very small restaurant and feels completely overwhelmed by the volume of delivery orders and walk-in customers. The staff are doing their best under pressure, but the current setup does not match what you would expect from a modern KFC experience in central London. Atmosphere and crowding The store is constantly packed with delivery riders and walk-in guests, which makes the space feel chaotic and uncomfortable to sit in. At busy times it feels more like a market than a fast-food restaurant, with people standing everywhere and very little room to move or wait for your order. Staffing and workload The restaurant appears seriously understaffed for the number of orders being pushed through delivery apps and in person. This is unfair on the employees, who clearly cannot keep up with demand, and it leaves a poor impression of how KFC manages and supports its frontline teams. Management and concept From a customer’s perspective, it seems like higher management has not put enough structure in place for this location, given its size and the huge delivery demand in the Old Street area. KFC should either limit or separate delivery operations here, or redesign the concept, because trying to handle full walk-in service and intense delivery traffic in such a tiny unit simply does not work. Final note The five stars are for the hardworking staff and the food, not for the atmosphere inside the store. The team on the ground deserves better support from area and head office management so that this location can actually reflect the KFC brand in a positive way.”

  “Had the most disgusting gravy at this location, reported to KFC HQ as this is surely against their minimum standards? Chicken tasted fresh at least so will give it 3 stars on the food. Order no #5180 on Saturday night at 19:45.”

  “I bought hotwings and zinger burger for lunch and I was completely disappointed. The burger and hot wings were not completely dry and fresh, they were made in a disgusting way. When I wanted to change it, I was rejected very rudely. As a result, I wasted money and went back to work hungry.”

  “I have mixed feelings about this KFC shop. Having ordered on two separate occassions within a space of a week the same item, a 10 Piece Wicked Variety Bucket, I noticed a drop in quality. For my first order, I chose two regular chips as one of the sides. I have done the same for the second time I ordered the bucket. The second bucket had far fewer chips. I should have taken a photograph, but I there were around 15 small to medium sized chips in each of the regular chips bag. My first order had far more than that! Also, the second time I ordered, 3 out of 10 chicken pieces were tiny chicken wings, although they looked more like squished balls. The first time I ordered, I received only one of these small ones. You can imagine that we were disappointed the second time we bought the exact same item and expect the same quality.”
