Each stall cooks its own cuisine, so one visit can cover Iraqi and Palestinian falafel, Greek fish and chips, Peruvian, Spanish, Korean or Thai food. Customer Review Summary

Pad Thai draws the most comment at this market of stalls, and opinions split sharply. One reviewer loves it, while another found it an odd colour and not authentic, and a third called the Thai basil chicken chewy, with thick batter, tiny pieces of meat and no taste of basil. Falafel wraps come close behind. One reviewer praises them as freshly made, while another notes a long queue and a crunch that comes only from the veggies, though the taste is good. Elsewhere, reviewers single out the roasted pork with sweet soya sauce at the Chinese stall at the back and an Argentinian chicken box. They also like the spread of cuisines, from Greek fish and chips to Peruvian and Korean, with regular portions described as filling. One was not thrilled with the German sausage, and another says some stalls are vastly better than others. One disappointed pad thai buyer says the sea bass from next door is far better.

“The roasted pork and sweet soya sauce at the Chinese stall right at the back of the market ( right to the side of the church) is amazing!”

“Long queue, they crush the falafel! The crunchiness is only from the veggies. Taste wise it's gd”

“Avoid the Thai street food here and don't waste your money. Had stir fried Thai basil with what supposed to be with fried chicken, not only it didn't taste of any basil being in the dish, the crispy fried chicken was chewy and full of thick batter with tiny pieces of the actual chicken meat, poor quality and not authentic !”

“Had Pad Thai from the Thai Street food place, wish I'd have saved my money, it WAS edible and had I have not eaten in 24 hours it would have been far more amazing than it actually was. Weird colour for a pad Thai, the fact that many people had paid and were awaiting their dish to be served was positive. Like a sheep I followed, paid my money and joined them. To my surprise my 'pad thai' was ready within under a minute, I couldn't help thinking I'd jumped the queue because all the people in front of me were still waiting. Still, I took the box passed to me, wandered round to Whitefield Gardens found a seat in the sun and took my first bite...... it was then that I realised I should've saved my money. If you want authentic Thai cuisine, don't buy here. If you want a box of grub for a tenner after a skinfull, it may flick your switch. Either way I'll have the Sea Bass from just next door next time, that's far better.”
