Customer Review Summary
Friendly, quick counter service draws the most praise, with several diners describing staff who were welcoming despite a busy room and food served hot and fresh. One parent describes a team member calmly coaxing an autistic son up from the floor and seating him at a table. Close behind, one reviewer found the Naan chicken sandwich and gravy acceptable, and liked the sauce on the tandoori loaded fries. Complaints carry real weight, though. Small chicken pieces come up more than once, the tandoori fries and a chocolate shake were called dry and artificial, drinks were not cold, and the toilets were described as untidy. One diner received regular chips in a large menu bag. Two reviewers fault the security staff, one saying they laughed after an eat-in meal turned out not to be available. Two compare it unfavourably with a nearby rival chicken shop. Even so, the one undersized piece of chicken taken back to the counter was swapped straight away.

“Closed, humid, and hot environment. Decent food, terrible service: I ordered a large menu and got the chips from the regular menu in a large menu bag.”

“All I can say is I’ve been here a few times, and on this occasion it was somewhere between okay and borderline terrible. Look, I think the perception of KFC has deteriorated over the years that’s no lie — and today’s experience goes a long way to explaining why. (Food) Overall it’s edible, but it’s not memorable. In fact it’s pretty much the opposite the quicker I can down it or bin it, the better it feels. Today I went for one of the newer menu items: the Naan chicken sandwich, tandoori loaded fries, and one piece of chicken with regular gravy. Things that were acceptable in the order: 1. Naan sandwich 2. Tandoori loaded fries (didn’t finish them because they were a bit dry, but the sauce on them was nice) 3. Gravy Things that were underwhelming: 1. The piece of chicken, the first one I was given was so small it was a joke, so I took it back to the counter and got it swapped. The second piece was a bit better but still nothing memorable. 2. The chocolate shake not nice whatsoever. Tasted very artificial. 3. The fries as much as I liked the sauce, once I’d eaten the nuggets/popcorn chicken and cleared the sauce they were extremely dry, so I binned the rest. For the food I think 2.8, rounded up to 3 out of 5 is reasonable. (Service) I’ll give service a 3 out of 5. The guy reading out the order numbers was good. When I took the chicken back it was swapped straight away, and the time it took them to make the order was alright. It’s not restaurant-standard service though, so rating it any higher than 3 is hard. No one brought me my order, and they forgot to put napkins in the bag that has to take a point away. (Value) When the food isn’t up to standard after paying £17.87, you have to be real about it. Was it good value for money? Long and short answer is no. Just down the way you’ve got Slim’s Chicken okay, you might pay £5 or £6 more, but the quality is much, much better. There are definitely better and cheaper places than KFC. KFC is a quick and simple solution, like McDonald’s or Burger King, you know what you’re getting but as value goes there is no value. I’m struggling to give it more than a 2 out of 5. Total score: 7.8 out of 15 Average score: 2.6 > rounded to 3 stars (3/5)”
