About Hendon Kosher Deli
Hendon Kosher Deli is a kosher butcher shop and deli in London, at 43 Brent St. The deli counter sells foods made fresh daily, including rotisserie chicken and spreads such as chopped liver, and the butcher side stocks merguez beef sausages. Sunday mornings bring buy one get one free items, so the weekend opens with a deal on selected products. The shop is small and sometimes runs out of an item, but the team can order it in. It closes on Saturdays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to fresh meat and chicken, with the rotisserie chicken and the fresh salads singled out, along with a deli counter whose chicken chopped liver, egg and onion spread and tuna spread are named. Close behind is friendly, helpful service and a store described as always clean and organised, plus reasonable prices and the level of kosher security. One reviewer mentions buy one get one free items on a Sunday morning. The shop is small, and a few note it can lack an item, though one says staff can order it in. The criticism is sharper in a minority of accounts. One reviewer calls the Merguez beef sausages a favourite but alleges that food near or past its date is reduced in price. Another describes fatty beef full of gristle in a sauce that tasted off, across two purchases of two packs. A third finds the cutlets really thin and the meat weaker than at other kosher butchers. Another finds some pre-flavoured items too synthetic. Even so, the rotisserie chicken is a recurring point of praise.

“Always has every single fresh meat and they have the best service ever”

“I buy the Merguez beef sausages here which we love eating. But beware, they do have a habit of reducing the prices on food that is either going out of date or has already gone out of date and is about to go off, so they can get money for it instead of throwing the bad food away. They know this is a very risky practice but so far they are still doing it because all the Jewish customers see is "reduced prices" labels.”

“The chicken and meat is always fresh and well priced, but I find some of their pre-flavoured stuff too synthetic for my own liking. This is a small shop and sometimes they will not have what you are after in stock. Service can be a little sombre, as befits a place where, after a short and difficult life, the chickens come home to roost in a rotisserie.”

“Great kosher deli location in Hendon on the High Street. The store is always extremely clean and organised. The staff are very helpful finding the items you need or assisting with bags. They also do a selection of foods at the deli counter and rotisserie chicken. Best kosher butcher in Hendon”

“Lack-lustre experience - not so cheap, meat nowhere as good as proper kosher butchers, cutlets really thin - other customers had no sense of distancing, closing the door, space... the chappy at the door / till was comatose”
