About Kosher Deli
Kosher Deli is a kosher butcher shop and deli in Edgware, at 13 The Promenade, selling raw meats. The butcher cuts chicken breasts to order, sliced, diced or as stir fry pieces, free of charge, so shoppers can take them home ready for the pan. Larger family value packs are on offer, along with a value pack of lamb cutlets for the barbecue. Bean and Barley soup comes from the deli side and sells out early in the day. The shop works on a walk-in basis. Offers are shared through a WhatsApp group.

Customer Review Summary
Reasonable prices and helpful, friendly staff are what most reviewers return for, with several describing years of regular shopping here. Specifics include chicken breasts cut sliced, diced or as stir fry pieces at no extra charge, larger family value packs of chicken drumsticks that work out cheaper, 10% off on Mondays, and offers shared through a WhatsApp group. The Bean and Barley soup also draws praise, though one reviewer says it goes quickly and suggests arriving early. Meat quality is where opinions split sharply. Two reviewers describe chicken schnitzels that were mostly gristle and batter, beef mince full of fat, and meat that was all fat, and one calls the owner rude. Another found a value pack of lamb cutlets inedible and says large joints are inconsistent, though that reviewer rates the minced beef as good quality. One reviewer notes the shop runs more as a deli than a butcher. Another reports that staff will season the food on request.

“Poor quality beef. Value pack of lamb cutlets for bbq was inedible . Minced beef is good quality. Best avoid large joints there, quality not consistent , won’t buy again, stick to the other butchers.”

“The best kosher food around. Excellent service. Will always go the extra mile and season the food if you require it!”

“I just spent over £130 with this kosher butcher & was very disappointed with the quality of more than 70% of the products I bought! For a start, the chicken schnitzels were nothing but pure gristle covered by batter; the others were almost nothing but what felt like rubber bands; the others were almost thin air with batter, with hardly any chicken inside! The Best Beef mince was also full of gristle & fat making it difficult to eat comfortably without having to keep spitting out mouthfuls of half chewed food cooked in this offending mince! The rest of my purchase I am dreading to use for fear of what sheer disappointment I might find! I should have remembered not to buy my meats at Kosher Deli because I suffered the exact same fate about 18 months ago but had sadly forgotten this time! Ill-stocked shop, too! NEVER AGAIN!”

“This is a wonderful kosher butcher. The prices are extremely reasonable, and play offer great discounts if you have a membership card. I also love the way that they will cut up chicken breasts in any way that you want for no extra price. You can buy them sliced or diced or in stir fry pieces without paying extra. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I love coming here.”
