  “Rude staff and bad coffee. I asked why the same drink costs more with a different bean and got a one-word answer, 'rarity', before the guy turned and walked off. The shop was almost empty, so he wasn't busy, he just couldn't be bothered. Rarity is barely part of it. Price follows cup quality, yield and the labour in picking and processing. Rare coffee that cups badly is cheap. Great coffee that is easy to find is not. The drink itself was bitter and flat and I didn't finish it. Premium prices, no knowledge behind the counter and nothing in the cup to back any of it up”

  “To the Management Team, SHOT Café I am writing to formally report an incident that took place at your Mayfair branch on 28 June 2026. During my visit, a member of your staff treated me in an extremely rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful manner. He spoke to me in an offensive tone and ordered me to leave the premises without any valid reason or justification. Most seriously, he took photographs of me without my consent, which is a clear violation of my privacy and against standard customer rights. This behaviour is unacceptable and falls far below the standard of service any customer should expect. I request that you conduct a full and immediate investigation into this matter, take appropriate action to ensure such conduct does not happen again, and provide me with a clear response outlining the steps you will take.   “I visited Shot Mayfair and really appreciated the overall experience. The space is beautifully designed, with a calm, stylish atmosphere that makes it an easy place to slow down and enjoy your coffee. The coffee itself is clearly high quality. You can tell there is real care in the beans and how everything is prepared, and it comes through in the taste. What made the visit stand out for me though was Dom. He was polite and welcoming, and made me the best pistachio latte I have ever had. Perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and genuinely memorable. It is not the cheapest coffee in London, but when the quality and service come together like this, it feels worth it.”

  “I absolutely ADORE this cafe, I regularly come to this coffee place on the basis to get their decaf latte with sugar cane syrup. They present the coffee with such gorgeous coffee art and the servers here are so nice. Would highly recommend coming here! 😍”

  “I came to here to finish my assignments and the staff have been amazing and considerate. Musa greeted and treated me with kindness/ respect, I ordered their desserts and iced Spanish/ pistachio Spanish latte and it’s been the best thing I’ve had. Would highly recommend”

  “I love coffee. And I don’t mean casually. I’m genuinely obsessed. From brewing techniques to processing methods to origin and roast profiles, coffee is a huge part of my life. So when James Hoffmann featured a place claiming to serve the most expensive espresso in the world, I was naturally intrigued. TL;DR: Avoid this place at all costs. The level of disappointment is honestly difficult to put into words. I don’t know where to start. The waiting staff couldn’t explain the difference between their house and signature beans beyond “uhhh… this one is more expensive?” Or the pour-over, which was hands down the most under-extracted cup I’ve ever been served. A 3.9 rating feels wildly generous. I wouldn’t even give this a 0.9. What makes this especially frustrating is that, as someone visiting London for the first time, I’ve since had coffee at places that are infinitely better in every possible way. Better execution, better knowledge, better value, and better respect for the craft. This place is an unmitigated disaster. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. Please.”

  “Amazing creamy coffee, a must try. Such a cool concept and the interior is beautiful. I got the Spanish iced latte it was delicious. Prices are good too considering the hype it was on TikTok plus its location. Staff was helpful and attentive. Amazing aesthetic + perfect coffee. Will definitely be back.”

  “This is definitely my favourite place for coffee. The coffee is smooth, but strong with a nice kick. It doesn’t leave a bitter after taste in your mouth. Yes, it’s a little more pricey than other coffee houses, but it’s 100% worth the extra money. The staff are always super polite and helpful. You may have to queue as it can get busy in the evenings especially on the weekends, but it’s worth the wait. I will definitely be going again.”

  “Super cool cafe! 🫶🏼 The entire coffee drinking experience gets elevated to the next level and so is the coffee! ✨ The entire vibe of Shot is very cool and clean. The service is top and very helpful since this cafe is probably nothing like anything you’ve experienced before. The coffee prices range from 10£ ~ 18£ (and more)!! Therefore help is needed. 💘 You can also choose a regular cappuccino but expect it to cost at least 5£ too! Quite pricey! So we tried a regular coffee and a exotic one ☝🏼 the regular was 10/10 nothing to complain! Very delicious, served hot!! And big ☕️ The exotic one was smaller and tasted like berries! It was crazy to me that coffee ☕️ really can taste so different 💖 I was a little bit disappointed that you don’t get a small chocolate with it since it’s already so expensive & that the atmosphere was very cold. However if you really want to step up your coffee game and want to try something new: this is the place for you! 💗☕️”
