  “I visited Moca today for breakfast with a friend. We both ordered eggs on toast (£7.50 each). My friend added bacon, and I added a sausage. The menu we were given had the prices for the bacon and sausage blacked out. Since most of the other extras on the menu were around £2, I naturally assumed these would be similarly priced. Imagine my surprise when I left and received a payment notification showing I'd spent £31 (also including two coffee’s) It turns out the extra bacon cost £4.20 and the extra sausage was £3.90. I'll admit that I should have checked the total before tapping my card, so I take some responsibility for that. However, I went back to ask why the prices weren't shown on the menu, and the response I received was disappointing. I was told it was my fault for not asking, and that because the waitress was new, I should have asked about the prices myself. There was no apology or acknowledgement that having prices covered up could mislead customers. To be fair, the food was nice, which probably explains the positive reviews. But transparency matters, and this experience left a bad impression. While looking through other reviews afterwards, I also came across someone who claimed they were charged £2.50 for hot water, which made me wonder whether hidden or unexpected charges are a recurring issue. Overall, I'd advise people to be cautious when ordering here. If you do visit, make sure you ask for the price of every extra and check your bill before paying. My issue was never the cost of breakfast or who was paying. Whether it was me or my company makes no difference. The menu I was given had the prices for the bacon and sausage blacked out (you even said the menus were printed out wrong and that’s why it blacked out, so I couldn't see they were £4.20 and £3.90. I assumed they would be priced similarly to the other extras. I even admitted in my review that I should have checked the total before paying. When I came back to ask about the prices, I wasn't looking for a refund (hence why I didn’t ask for one) I simply wanted to understand why the prices weren't visible on the menu I was using. Instead, I was told it was my responsibility to ask because the waitress was new. That response is what left a bad impression. If the prices were displayed elsewhere in the café, I genuinely didn't notice them. As a customer, I ordered from the menu that was handed to me and expected it to contain the correct pricing. I'm pleased you stand by your prices, and I also said the food was nice. My review was simply about transparency and how my concern was handled afterwards.”

  “Moca is my favourite local cafe. I come here a few times a week to get a takeaway coffee and it’s always great — Gino and the whole team are genuinely friendly and always up for a chat. Food to take away has also been consistently good. Highly recommend!”

  “One of my favourite local cafes - a true gem! I’ve been enough times now that I recognise the staff and they are always so lovely & friendly, catching up with them is such a highlight. There’s a genuine sense of community & the atmosphere is lovely. Their new menu is incredible - the chicken, bacon & avocado salad is my personal favourite & they make the best chai latte. I also recently had their apple tart which was delicious! Service is always impeccable & it’s super affordable too. Highly recommend!”

  “A buzzy little cafe with all the best of a traditional Italian operation plus some of the little things we’ve come to expect (oat milk etc) Fast friendly service and excellent gluten free brownie. My macchiato went straight into my top 5 and Mr S found his oat latte well balanced. Plenty of seating indoors and out.”

  “I visited Moca coffee for the first time yesterday before a local meeting. I had a coffee and breakfast. It was delicious and the service was friendly and fast. The breakfast kept me full until dinner and let me tell you, I can eat! If you don't want to eat a full meal, it's also a great place to grab a drink or light snack. Highly recommended!”

  “I visit mocha often for lunch and cortardo. Every meal is delicious ... however today it was amazing. I had the seafood pasta and as I can't eat tomatoes the chef went the extra mile and served me something so delicious I had to request a side of bread just to mop up the delicious sauce.. The cortardo today was also exceptional. The staff are as always fabulous friendly and so welcoming. My fave place for lunch and a smile 😃”

  “Today I went for second time to this cafe in Blackheath and it was great, I forgot how good it was, especially the staff was friendly and it was busy. The coffee were very good (and I’m very picky with my coffee, but my flat white was perfect) the breakfast menu had different choice and it was great, we will be back again soon. Thank you Another visit to the cafe today, and again I loved it. Very good service which is hard to find it. I will be back soon!”

  “It was my first time to visit Moca Caffee with my wife, we did order Benedict Royal with spinach and skimmed Cappuccino. It was best benedict Royal I never had it in my life, well-presentated, well balanced taste and the food felt with heart and passion in it.”
