About Elsewhere Coffee Roastery and Brew Bar
Elsewhere Coffee Roastery and Brew Bar is a coffee roastery on Titan Business Estate in London, a few steps from Deptford station and behind the high street. Coffee is roasted on site, and the roasting machine sits in view in the background of the industrial-style interior. The brew bar serves cold brew over ice and a mocha hot or cold, and bags of beans, including the house coffee Daydreamer, are sold to take home. For people who want to brew at home, a half-day course covers grinder calibration, dialling-in, extraction and a blind cupping. The roastery buys single origin beans directly from farmers, so it oversees the supply chain from planting through packaging. Service is walk-in, and a loyalty card is offered. Dogs are welcome.
Good to know
“Elsewhere Coffee is a small batch roastery based in South East London. We roast a range of high quality single origin coffee beans sourced from across the globe as well as our popular house coffee, Daydreamer. We work directly with our farmers to make sure they get fair value for their fabulous coffee. This means we have complete oversight of the coffee making supply chain from planting through harvesting, roasting and packaging.”

Reviewers most often mention flat white, cold brew, mocha and home brewing course.
Customer Review Summary
Flat whites come up most often, described as tasty with a lovely foam and made to perfection, with a filter called Shimmy Shimmy and the Daydreamer house beans also named. One reviewer calls the mocha, hot or cold, the standout, and another praises a smooth, bitter-free cold brew. Reviewers describe a warm, welcoming team who chat about coffee, and several mention the roasting machine working on site and buying beans to take home. A half day home brewing course gets praise for hands-on grinder calibration, dialling in and a blind cupping. The caveats are split. One reviewer says the interior feels more like a storage or workspace than a café, and quite cold, and another suggests avoiding the outside seats because they sit close to the bins. The sharpest complaint is from a reviewer who says staff became hostile and confrontational after being asked what milk went into a coffee because of an allergy, arguing even after the drink was remade, and who adds that friends have had similar experiences.

“The coffee here was fantastic. I got a flat white, americano and banana bread. Flat white was made to perfection. However, the best part was the service. Alice was very friendly and we had a nice chat about coffee. The place felt very welcoming and everything was served at the highest standard despite coming 10 minutes before closing.”

“Super weird experience here. The staff got very hostile when we checked what type of milk was used for a coffee as there was an allergy. They got extremely confrontational and tried to argue with us after redoing the drink. I've visited quite a few times since the coffee is super good, but each time the staff have always been off putting and this time kinda sealed the deal. Friends have had similar negative experiences and now avoid this place too. Owner seems like a nice guy so it's a shame this doesn't get translated through the staff. Mistakes happen and it's completely fine when handled properly...hopefully they'll learn how to be kinder to customers in the future.”

“If you’re anywhere near Deptford station, you need to seek out Elsewhere Coffee Roastery and Brew Bar. Tucked just a few steps away from the platform, this place is an absolute dream for coffee lovers. What instantly sets Elsewhere apart is the atmosphere. From the second I walked in, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It doesn't feel like just another transactional cafe; it feels like a neighborhood hub where the team makes you feel like an old friend, whether they are chatting about their on-site roasting process or just checking in on your day. As for the drink, their cold brew is pure perfection. It is exceptionally smooth, beautifully balanced, and completely clear of any bitterness. Served beautifully over ice, it’s exactly what a premium cold brew should be. Sitting outside on a sunny day with a view of their cool, industrial space while sipping an expertly crafted drink is the perfect South East London morning. Incredible hospitality paired with top-tier specialty coffee. 10/10 recommended!”

“1/2 Day Home Brewing Course: Elsewhere Coffee has brought joy to my mornings this past year so I was delighted to be gifted their half day 'home brewing course' by a friend. In an intimate group setting, we were shown the ins and outs of grinder calibration, 'dialling-in' and extraction and given plenty of opportunity to practise this on their _amazing_ equipment. There was also an in-depth 'cupping' (blind coffee tasting) which left us all feeling enlightened...and buzzed! Would really recommend this to any coffee aficionados.”

“Fantastic coffee with great notes, nice seating areas inside as well. I would avoid sitting outside, too close to the bins”
