Quick info
About Disrepute
In a basement at 4 Kingly Ct in London, Disrepute is a cocktail bar with leather booths and dim lighting. The menu is presented as a book of long stories and runs to 49 items, so guests can read through the list before they order. It includes the Mai Tai, the Jungle Bird and the Martinez. Seating includes the bar itself, where guests can sit and order, alongside the booths. Reservations can be pre-booked, and walk-ins without one are squeezed in. A queue forms to get in, and a door man greets guests at the entrance.

Customer Review Summary
Cocktails draw the most praise, called really good and beautifully crafted, with friendly, knowledgeable bartenders and free water and snacks. Two reviewers were let down. One found the menu a book of long stories, hard to read in dim light, and a White Witch mostly ice. Another found the wait to get in too long. One sat with a glass of ice, unasked about another round.

“I've been a few times to Disrepute over the years and always enjoyed it. I took my friend to celebrate her 50th birthday as I thought it would be as lovely as it was before. The door man is very kind and cheerful and made us feel welcome. He was one plus. The menu used to be easy to read with lots of choice. Now you are given a book with long stories that's almost impossible to read under the dim lights. The drink I chose was mainly filled with ice and didn't taste of much at all (White Witch). My friends asked for Margaritas as they couldn't figure out anything else on the menu. Our water was topped up regularly but we were only served one cocktail before our time was up. I actually sat for a long time with my glass of ice without anyone asking if we wanted another round. We paid just under £18 each. Such as shame as it was a lovely little bar before.”

“I’d just finished work and popped into Disrepute for a cheeky cocktail which somehow turned into a few! 😂🍸 I went alone and sat at the bar, but Gabriel, Gigi and Leo made me feel like I …”

“Disrepute Bar is an absolute gem. The bartenders (Freddie) are fantastic — super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. Every cocktail we had was incredible and beautifully crafted ( I had about 5 different cocktails). The ambience is unmatched, with the perfect vibe for a night out and stunning architecture that makes the whole experience feel special. Definitely one of the best cocktail bars in London!”

“So the positives for this place is the service is very good, the knowledge from the staff about various cocktails is impressive. The cocktails were all really good and well made. Free water for the table and snacks provided. Without a reservation we were ‘squeezed’ into an empty venue for a quick, if you like a quiet place with no crowds etc then this is probably the place to go, not sure it’s for me but each to their own.”

“Expected more.! We pre-booked and were happy to Q to get in, however I observed a couple who managed to sweet talk their way in, in front of us by flicking her hair and acting all cute.. Also not worth £38 for 2 drinks, and the wait was too long, vibes were ok but nothing special. I don’t recommend.!”
