About John Lewis Roof Fest

John Lewis Roof Fest is a cocktail bar in London, set on a rooftop terrace on top of John Lewis at 300 Oxford St, so a drink or a plate fits into a day of shopping on the street below. The drinks menu runs to spritzes, including a Hugo spritz, and cocktails such as the espresso martini and margarita, with non-alcoholic options alongside. Small plates and desserts cover the food, and the dips include a peppers & feta dip. Coffee is served at lunchtime. The venue has rebranded as Willows, and it operates as walk-in. The terrace has no sun parasols, so shade is limited on hot days.

Customer Review Summary

Spritzes lead the drinks praise, with reviewers calling the Hugo Spritz divine and singling out the signature spritz, while an espresso martini and a cold, crisp Camden beer also get mentions. Close behind come the small plates, including a pavlova with sorbet that one diner wished they had ordered one each of, and a peppers and feta dip. Staff are described as warm, attentive and friendly, and the rooftop draws praise for its lovely atmosphere and mix of ages. The complaints are specific. One reviewer says a margarita was overcharged on the bill, another found the courgettes arrived without the jalapeño mayo the menu described because it had run out, and a third left a 3pm birthday gathering early because the roof had no sun parasols in strong heat. One finds the views almost nonexistent, and another found the music bass heavy. Still, one regular recalls a manager finding a table when none were free.

“Visited this yesterday for my friend’s birthday celebration at 3pm. Air temperature was 30c and the sun was at full strength, but this rooftop cafe has not got any sun parasols which made it unbearable to sit up there. In fact, we left early because it was far too hot to sit up there 🥵”

“The best rooftop I've ever been to!!! The food is literally to die for especially the peppers & feta dip! The staff was so attentive, caring and sweet. Celebrated my 22nd here and I'd definitely come to celebrate again! Thank you for your amazing service”

“A cute little hideaway from the hustle and bustle of the London streets This place offers small bite plates / desserts / drinks - the coffee stops at lunch time so bare that in mind I had an espresso martini - it was balanced perfectly. My partner had Camden down brewery beer - he said it was nice cold and crisp. We ordered a pavlova to share *I wish we ordered one each. It was divine!! A beautifully executed fresh spring/summer dessert to be had not overly sickening just the right amount of sweetness with the tartness from the sorbet and coulee. The decor and furnishings felt like a Wimbledon style primrose garden - I LOVED it.”

“The drinks menu is exceptional — expertly mixed cocktails, crisp wines, and refreshing non-alcoholic options. We tried the signature spritz and a few small plates, and every dish was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly presented. Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly — the team clearly cares about making each guest feel welcome. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed catch-up with friends, an al-fresco lunch, or a sunset drink after shopping. Five stars all the way — we’ll definitely be back! 🥂”
