About The Vault

The Vault is a cocktail bar in London, reached through a bookshelf in a whisky shop at 3 Greek St, with the speakeasy itself downstairs from the shop. The bar staff write the cocktail menu themselves, with Paracetamol Royale and Material Girl among the named drinks, and classics can still be ordered. A separate station makes drinks for guests with allergies, which keeps those orders clear of cross contamination. Beers and drams are also on offer, including a Swiss lager. The bar is open daily, and reservations are taken.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the imaginative cocktails, naming Paracetamol Royale, Coconut butter and South west soirée alongside a classic old fashioned, and one group even ordered seconds. Close behind is the hidden entrance behind a bookshelf in a whisky shop, which several describe as a cool speakeasy with dim lighting and a relaxed feel. Staff draw frequent praise as friendly and knowledgeable. Reviewers mention drink recommendations, a clear explanation of the menu for a hearing impaired guest, and a separate station for allergy drinks to avoid cross contamination, which let one reviewer's brother have a cocktail. One diner also singles out a Swiss lager. Opinions on prices differ, with one reviewer calling them not cheap and another reasonable. The one sustained complaint comes from a reviewer who describes a staff member as unbelievably rude when asking them to leave at closing, and who found a tomato and raspberry cocktail tasted spoiled, though a bartender replaced it.

“The venue itself is really cool. There’s a whisky shop upstairs and a hidden speakeasy bar downstairs, which gives the place a unique atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. One member of staff was unbelievably rude when asking us to leave. I completely understand that venues have closing times, but there’s a professional way to speak to customers, and this wasn’t it. I’ve honestly never experienced such rude treatment in a bar before. It wasn’t just directed at me—it was towards both of us—and it left a really bad impression. The cocktails were also disappointing. I ordered the tomato and raspberry cocktail, and it genuinely tasted spoiled. Thankfully, one of the bartenders was kind enough to replace it, which I appreciated, so not everyone on the team was unfriendly. I wouldn’t have left a one-star review over a bad cocktail, especially since it was replaced. But the appalling attitude of that staff member completely overshadowed the evening. It’s a shame, because the venue itself has a lot of potential.”

“Stumbled across this place one night and decided to make a reservation for the next day. Pretty cool hidden entrance. Solid cocktail and dram selection with reasonable pricing. Very friendly staff. Good vibes. Will definitely return at some point.”

“A great find! Tucked away behind a hidden entrance in a whisky shop, this place is an absolute find. The atmosphere is beautifully dimly lit with brilliant lighting that sets a relaxed, exclusive tone. The signature cocktail range is exceptional, and the superb staff really know their craft. A real treat from start to finish—highly recommend.”
