Customer Review Summary

Singapore fried rice and noodles come up most, and reviewers split on them. One praises Singapore fried rice with chilli oil alongside beef rice and chicken balls with curry sauce, while another found both the Singapore prawn and Singapore special fried rice bland and very dry on a delivery order. Several long-time customers call the food always great, with massive portions and friendly staff, and one says it gives Chinatown a run for its money. Others say quality and portion size have dropped, noting that the ribs used to be great, and that crispy squid rings were very oily with thin squid. One roast duck with egg fried rice reportedly had no meat, only bones and fat. A few describe surly or dismissive service, and one was charged a collection service fee on an online order, then offered prawn crackers and a Diet Coke instead of a refund. One returning customer found a recent delivery fresh and tasty, arriving sooner than quoted.

“We used to order regularly but the last few times it was hit and miss so haven’t ordered for over a year. However, we thought about ordering again as we didn’t feel like going to the chip shop and our local kebab shop was closed for their summer holidays. Ordered for delivery in August 2026, food arrived quickly (within 20 minutes) despite them telling me it would be 45mins. Food was fresh and tasty - they must have got a new chef! Thanks Woo lot, we enjoyed our takeaway tonight.”

“Delicious food, I ordered Singapoore fried rice with chill oil, beef rice, chicken balls with curry sauce. I ordered take away not eat in. Customer service was professional and friendly. Nice food.”

“Like lots of other people I've been using Woo Lot for years and years. Restaurant and takeaway. Not now. With a couple of exceptions they were always surly. And not cheap. That's ok when the food is good and plentiful, as it has been until the his year. New management/ chef? Dunno, but reluctantly we now go elsewhere.”

“I’m giving three stars, and that’s being kind. The food is basic, nothing special, and the quality has definitely dropped. The ribs used to be great, the Singapore noodle was good.”

“I ordered for a Singapore prawn fried rice and Singapore special fried rice today, but I regretted that I wasted my money. As pictured on the delivaroo app when I received the food it was completely bland , no flavour or taste. Both fried rice was very dry and rubbish. I will never ever order again or recommend this takeaway restaurant anyone. Completely rubbish quality not worth for money better be hungry 😡🤬”
