Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the dim sum, and the prawn cheung fun is the standout, praised for meaty prawns and crispy tofu skin. Close behind are the taro croquettes, described as light and crispy with a generous filling, and the turnip cake in XO sauce. Har gau, custard tarts, chicken feet and fish congee also get mentions, and several say the dim sum is authentic and better value than Chinatown. Some also praise the Cantonese roast duck and the morning glory, while one finds the roast duck and roast pork just ok. Staff are called friendly and helpful, and some say the restaurant takes bookings. Complaints are minor but specific: the room is small and noisy at weekends, one reviewer found the booth sofa bench too far from the table, and another received only one chicken foot in the chicken feet and ribs over rice, though it was cooked fresh to order. Several suggest booking for weekend dim sum, since walk-ins may wait for a table.

“Really nice dim sum, super authentic and tasty without having to travel into Chinatown. The cheung fung definitely a highlight, the prawn and crispy bean curd a great texture, and the char siu really nice. Taro croquettes (Wu Gok) super crispy outside, and the xo turnip cake really nice and pan fried. Only negative would be the chicken feet and ribs over rice only came with one chicken feet when the menu made it seem like it was a mix and multiple of each. It was cooked fresh to order though.”

“An absolute must go to of ours and if you're around the area and fancy some Dim Sum then you should try it too. I'm a big fan of the turnip cake, Shanghai dumplings, various bean curd options and Cheung fun (prawn). Friendly staff and very good value. Drop in and try for yourself.”

“Great dim sum and good service. I absolutely loved the cucumber salad and the tea as you come in was great too.”

“Delicious Dim Sum Chinese food at a reasonable price compared to Chinatown in central London. Some restaurants rush their cooking and some skimp on portion size but this doesn’t. I’ve eaten at many Asian restaurants and this one was wonderful! Taro croquettes, Har Gau prawn dumplings, Prawn Cheung Fun rice rolls, jellyfish, beef ho fun flat wide rice noodles, pork ham siu gok dumplings and many more options to choose from. Clean, quiet, on the end of Deptford high street. Highly recommend ☺️”

“Came here for some yummy Cantonese-style roast duck, and it didn’t disappoint. As a Cantonese person, I thought the duck and roasted pork belly were very authentic; I felt like I was back in Canton! The morning glory was good too, and I’d also recommend the stir-fried beans. The service was great, and the staff can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. I haven’t tried the dim sum yet, but it looked delicious on other guests’ tables. A family of three got really full, and the total came to £75.44. There was a 12.5% service charge. Tip: There is 10% off if you pay in cash!”
