About Cafe Carmen
Cafe Carmen is a cafe on County Hall in London, set right next to the London Eye and Westminster Bridge by the river. That puts a coffee stop beside two of the area's best-known landmarks for anyone walking the riverside. The drinks list covers espresso-based coffees, including a flat white. Pastries sit alongside, with croissants and pain au chocolate on offer. Indoor seating is limited and can fill up quickly at opening and at peak hours.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the location beside the London Eye and Westminster Bridge, with a table offering views of the Houses of Parliament singled out by one breakfast visitor who arrived at opening. Coffee is the main draw on the menu: one reviewer praises a caramel iced latte that was sweet without being overdone, and others call the cappuccino and flat white hot and good. Close behind are croissants, pain au chocolat, an apple pie, a falafel wrap, and a cheese and parsley burger, with friendly staff mentioned several times. Seating is the recurring complaint, with reviewers saying tables are scarce even when the café is nearly empty, and others noting there is no toilet and no wifi. Food and value draw sharper criticism from a few: a cheese toastie called flavourless, a hard slice of cake, a milkshake described as milk with a blob of Nutella and ice cubes, and a bagel with only a sprinkling of salmon inside, though the salmon itself tasted delicious.

“Really loved the apple pie !! Also the hot dogs… different to what we have in Australia… anyone know what they are called?”

“So close to the London eye the location is very nice but what kind of cafe has no toilet in such a place and also no wifi! Also, even with barely any people in the store there are no seats available. Probably would go somewhere else.”

“Lovely breakfast location if you enjoy a croissant or pain au chocolate! Got there as they opened (highly recommend this approach as they can fill up almost instantly!) and to our surprise, we got a table with by far the best views of the Houses of Parliament across the bridge! Well worth the £20(ish) I paid for two full stomachs! Would visit again in a heartbeat!”

“The Café is cute. The Staffel is very friendly and the food is good! Although it would be nice if there were more places to sit. Overall it is a great place to have a quick snack and I'd come here again!”

“So disappointed when I opened my bagel for our picnic and this was all the salmon inside 😣 should’ve been labelled cream cheese with a sprinkling of salmon. Shame as the salmon that was included tasted delicious.”
