Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the breakfast at this small Italian café, naming the English breakfast, the poached egg with sandwiches, and the fried bacon, which one calls spectacular. Close behind is the coffee, with a cappuccino described as exactly the right sweetness and a generous serving, and another reviewer calling it very strong. Avocado sandwiches, panini, cakes and pastries also come up. The staff are described repeatedly as friendly, kind and family-run, with locals coming in and a regular saying they have returned for years. Several note the prices are affordable for London, and one finds takeaway slightly cheaper. The caveats are specific: one diner found the space extremely cramped and suggests grabbing and going, called the latte bitter and lacking richness, and said the crispy bacon sandwich held just one slice. That reviewer also reports seeing a staff member double dip a wet spoon into the sugar pot. Another reviewer begins each morning here for the pain au chocolat and espresso, greeted warmly every time.

“Old school Italian café with cute little booth seating. Excellent cappuccino - exactly the right sweetness and a generous serving too. Also serves the usual range of sandwiches, panini, breakfasts, some lunch specials, cakes and pastries.”

“This little Italian café next to my hotel quickly became part of my morning routine. I’m an early riser—out for a run around 5am and back by 7—and this place was always open, and the smell alone was enough to pull me in. Run by (or staffed by) Italian women, it had that warm, family-run feel that made me, an out-of-towner visiting London for work, feel instantly at home. The menu had a nice mix—pain au chocolat, espresso, English breakfast options, bagels—something for everyone, despite the small space. What really stood out was the warmth of the service. One of the women always called me “bella,” and there was this familiar, respectful warmth to how she treated everyone—the kind of care that reminded me of home. It felt less like grabbing coffee and more like visiting family. Can’t recommend this place enough—great food made with love, and even better people.”

“Very friendly and authentic staff. Perfect italian bar for a quick lunch or take away. All fresh made with daily specials. Lots of locals coming in, which is always a good sign. Choosed sandwiches and poached egg. Delicious! So friendly and kind people behind the desk, i would always return to eat good and be treated so kindly. Thank you!”
