About Cafe Verona
In London's West End theatre district, Cafe Verona is a cafe at 184 Drury Ln, set opposite a hotel. The owner recommends the chicken escalope with tomato and pesto, one of the homemade dishes on a menu that also includes deli-style paninis and sandwiches. Breakfast brings a full English served with tea or coffee, and there is also a plate of poached eggs with avocado and halloumi on toast. The cafe suits a meal near the theatres, with a mix of cooked plates and quick sandwich options. Everything on the menu is made in house.

Customer Review Summary
The negatives are specific to breakfast. One reviewer found the mushrooms stale, the bacon undercooked, the eggs unsalted and the tea mild. Another, ordering the vegetarian breakfast, got soggy hash browns, a tough vegetarian sausage and watery, bland mushrooms. A third noted only that one plate arrived a couple of minutes before the other, though otherwise the breakfast was great.

“Staff were super friendly! Service was quick and prices a steal for london. Food was yummy and filling for the price as well. I would reccomend a stop if you are in the mood for a sandwich and panini at good prices :D”

“A small cosy place that I stumbled upon around 6:30AM in the morning when I woke up hungry. Walked in and the man (I presume the owner) was warm and welcoming, directed me to a seat, got me a coffee and gave me the recommendation of a chicken escalope with tomato and pesto I usually disliked tomatoes in burgers or sandwiches as they're usually just a watery flavourless mess between buns, but decided to give it a try - and this was a good choice. The tomato was juicy but not watery, the pesto taste compliment the whole dish well Would recommend!”

“What a superb little find in the heart of London’s theatre district. I stayed in the hotel just opposite the ate here for breakfast. So pleased I did, fantastic prices in London - full English and a cup of tea I'm pretty sure was around £9.80. The food was yummy. The staff were great, very friendly and respected their customers. From what I saw, they have a good selection of deli-style paninis, etc. Will definitely be returning when I'm next in the area.”

“Wow worst English breakfast by a stretch. Mushrooms were straight up stale. And the tea was so mild. No salt on the eggs. Bacon undercooked. Don’t know what to say complete waste of 10 pounds”
