Customer Review Summary

Diners most often single out the juicy, well-cooked burger itself, with the miso burger and the black and blue named as standouts, and the black bear praised alongside the miso. Close behind come the parmesan fries, described as hand cut, crispy and well seasoned, and the friendly, quick service. One reviewer liked the thick, cold shake served in a metal cup. Several say the burger is on the small side, and one says a friend was left wanting more. The bacon draws criticism, with one reviewer calling it hard and not crunchy, and another finding the patty slightly greasy when topped with it. One reviewer found the buns stale, leaving a bready mouthful against single patties. Another notes the free burger promotion for the first 900 customers ended within twenty minutes. The shared food hall seating is described as plentiful by one and very busy by another. Several mention a fair price for the quality, and the closing note from one reviewer is that the burger came out medium rare after the staff asked how they wanted it cooked.

“First time trying Black Bear Burger, had high expectations from all I've seen online, and from their Best Burger In London 2025 honor. Well, I was not disappointed. It was delicious, perfectly cooked and the service was great. I'll definitely be back.”

“My friend and I went to get a burger from this establishment and hoping to make use of their today only offer of; ‘free burger for the first 900 customers’ promotion. Sadly the promotion had come to a close after the first 20 minutes (!) therefore we ordered a burger at full price and happily enjoyed every last bite. It was truly delectable. We ordered the Miso Burger each. The meat patty wasn’t too thick and perhaps a bit on the greasy side, especially when topped with bacon; but we both thought it was the best burger we both had tried in our lives, thus far! We were asked how we’d like our burgers; (medium rare) which added to the over all juiciness and moreishness of the burger. The buns were ever so slightly grilled and topped with sesame seeds. Topped with bacon and onions, it truly was a delight. My only tiny criticism would be that the burger was a bit small, perhaps as the meat patty was on the ‘slim’ side. I as a petite female myself, I felt satisfied after eating the burger (without chips) but my male friend was left wishing for a bit more. Nonetheless we thought these burgers were absolutely delectable and the best we’d had so far! 12/10! The staff were also very friendly and smiley and if one is lucky enough to secure a spot in the very busy seating area within the food hall/ market, it can be an over all very enjoyable meal.”

“Bravo to the team, well prepared with the event, pre-preparation was visible and they were smashing patties like nobody's business. Very good burger, didn't expect it's gonna be that big, quiet delicate, surprised it didn't fell heavy and super meaty, maybe they use less fat meat. Honestly I would remove bacon from it, it's not necessary, doesn't improve the taste and in my case wasn't good: quite hard and not crunchy. Nicely caramelised onions cut in the only way for this kind of burger. It's not 5 stars burger for me, that's my taste. Good and decent fries, less fluffy than crunchy but defo much better than your usual fries. Shake was awesome, not a big portion but super thick and so cold, you can get brain freeze in seconds. I like the fact it's served in metal cup. It's based in bigger food hall, plenty of space to sit and hang around. Clean and tidy, you can see people from the service constantly doing something. Bravo!”
