  “Max was our server this afternoon as are all the staff he was amazing. Well we didn't know it was a trial shift. You would have never guessed. He was professional, attentive and amazing. I am know doubt he will be a amazing addition to all the other staff. Overseen by manager Deano who has a unique way of bonding with the staff also managing to be a productive boss.”

  “Amazing pub. As a local I’ve seen this pub go through many different management teams and I’d say this by far is the best! Particularly the current manager is so engaged with the community and makes our experience in the pub very worthwhile that we happily choose to come here over many other great options.”

  “Lovely location but unfortunately the food offering lets this establishment down. The pub classics and seasonal specials are executed well enough but at price a price scale of £20-30+, dishes felt as if they had been marked up 25% more than one would expect (especially considering the cold/lukewarm vegetables that accompanied them). The same cannot be said for their more innovative items (e.g. Korean chicken burger), which lacked imagination and tastes bland. Having said this, drinks were reasonably priced (£6.50ish for a pint; cocktails at £10-11 mark). After initially being informed that they had run out of limes, we were surged a Tommy’s margarita that appeared to be lacking in agave? Although we had requested an outside table in our reservation, we were seated inside. The interior was pleasant enough, but do believe sitting in the garden would have been preferable! Having said this, the staff were friendly — no complaints there :)”

  “It’s a nice pub in a pleasant location and it was quiet when we were there. We ordered roasts and the food and service were both quite bad. Roast chicken (£21) arrived without the advertised Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and bread sauce. We asked after the Yorkshire puddings and they took maybe 10 minutes to come, the rest of the food having gone cold by then. It was at best a quarter of a chicken. It arrived swimming in gravy with an additional pot of gravy sat in the gravy on the plate. It seemed that this extra pot was there for no other reason than to fill up space on the plate. It was very disappointing. The staff seemed to be young people on weekend jobs, quite timid, reticent and a little absent minded. If the food had been better that probably would have been fine but I can’t help but feel that this contributed to the food arriving missing very visible components and the problems not being rectified with any sense of urgency. Would recommend as a nice spot for drinks!”

  “We organised our civil wedding (both lunch and afternoon) and we had the best time. Shaun & team looked after us; the care and attention the team put into every detail truly made the day special for us. The food was exceptional—so many of our guests have been raving about the quality—and the service was not only seamless but also incredibly warm and personal. Loved the wine selection too! Thank you all very much!”

  “Myself and my friends came here a few hours before we went to the Arsenal victory parade. Great food, great drinks and A+ service. We didn't know about this pub and will be using it in the future next season for pre game drinks and food.”

  “The Marquess Tavern is simply one of the best pubs in London. Full stop! I've been here a number of times and it never disappoints. The food is absolutely outstanding, fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Every dish feels like it's been made with real care and attention, which is increasingly rare. The quality is consistently excellent no matter when you visit. But what truly sets the Marquess apart is the service. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I've celebrated multiple birthdays here as well as other special occasions with friends and family, and every single time it has been a brilliant experience. The atmosphere is perfect for a group, buzzy and fun without being overwhelming, and the space lends itself beautifully to celebrations. It's become my go-to venue for any occasion worth marking. Whether you're popping in for a quiet drink or planning a big night out, the Marquess Tavern delivers every time. Genuinely one of those rare places that ticks every box. Highly, highly recommended. Don't sleep on this gem!”

  “Sunday roast is impressive. We booked at 3:45, still queue waiting outside. I’m not a big fan of roast, they did good job. I like the cozy and warm atmosphere, especially on rainy day, a wonderful place for family gathering.”
