About Myddleton Arms
Myddleton Arms is a Victorian pub in London at 52 Canonbury Rd, open daily. On Wednesday evenings it hosts a cheese and wine night, where the landlord explains six paired wines served with a plate of cheeses and crackers. Food comes from an outdoor kitchen called The New River Grill, and the burger menu includes the Mydd Burger alongside veggie and vegan options, with fries and halloumi fries on the side. Inside, two adjoining bars hold a fireplace and a piano by the door. Live music runs through the week's schedule, from jazz and bring-your-own-vinyl nights to Irish trad sessions and Sunday afternoon sets. Two screens show football.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the Wednesday cheese and wine night, describing a huge plate of cheeses with crackers and six paired wines, with the landlord or host explaining the wines and chatting with guests. Burgers come close behind, including the Mydd Burger, called juicy and flavourful, along with halloumi fries and vegan options. The staff are repeatedly called lovely and friendly, and reviewers also mention a fireplace, a nice garden and live music, with one noting a Sunday afternoon session. The complaints are specific. One group booked a table for birthday drinks and says the kitchen closed earlier than advertised with no warning while they were queueing for burgers, and describes the staff as disengaged. Another reviewer says only two screens were available and the ITV Player repeatedly failed on the football, while a musician regretted that there was no real ale on. One reviewer who caught only the end of the Sunday music thought the website listed a later finish.

“Only two screens, and the ITV Player repeatedly failed because of the internet connection. Nice enough pub, but if you’re planning to watch the football, I’d recommend somewhere that can actually show it.”

“Booked table for small birthday drinks and were sad the kitchen closed at 8 before advertised with no warning. We were already queueing to order burgers when they just turned the ‘closed’ signed up. No remorse for the birthday peeps. Disengaged staff.”

“Wow. Wow. Wow. The Myddleton Arms is a precious gem in North London. A welcoming, warm and comforting pub, with a lively and friendly atmosphere. My wife and I came here for their incredible cheese and wine night on Wednesday evening. £20 a head, a huuuuuuuuge plate of cheeses and premium crackers and 6 paired wines. Chris, who runs the cheese night, is a beautiful human being and super warm and friendly. What are you still reading this review for?!!!! Don't take my word for it, go and see for yourselves. You'll love every minute.”
