About HENNESSY’S
HENNESSY'S is an Irish pub in Camberwell, London, at 225 Camberwell New Rd. The building was formerly the Clarendon Arms, and new owners have since renovated it, so it now trades under the Hennessy's name. Behind the bar, Guinness and Murphy's are both served on tap. Live music is part of the pub's line-up, giving visitors something to hear as well as something to drink. The food follows an Irish cuisine.

Customer Review Summary
Guinness is the clear draw at this Camberwell Irish pub. Several reviewers call it among the best pints they have had in London, and one says it tastes like the pour at the Covent Garden Guinness Factory. Close behind are pint prices described as unheard of for London, including a well-kept stout praised by a self-described Corkman. Reviewers also single out the outdoor seating out front for sunny days, the cosy interior, friendly and polite staff, and live music on Saturdays. Several describe a huge upgrade on the pub's previous incarnation, though one reviewer who loved the old Clarendon Arms felt the changes had ruined it. The main complaint is volume. One diner says the live music is so loud that their table ended up shouting and repeating themselves, and wishes the band would pause between songs. The same reviewer found the sangría well made but with too much ice, and thanked the staff for a complimentary drink.

“So sad to see what they’ve done to this place, ruined what was a great pub (Clarendon Arms)”

“An authentic Irish boozer, probably some of the best Guinness I've had in London, can't believe is taken me so long to find this place! £6 a pint too, near unheard of!! Didn't try the food, next time!”

“Very, very good Guinness! £6, and it tastes just like the Guinness at the Covent Garden Guinness Factory. The atmosphere is always great, staff very polite!”

“The best bar in Camberwell! One of the best pints of Guinness I’ve had and great customer service, the design of the bar and taps gives it real character will definetly return.”

“Absolutely brilliant proper Irish pub in Camberwell. Hennessy’s has a fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff, great pints, and that genuine local pub feel that is hard to find these days. It is the perfect spot for a relaxed drink, a bit of craic, and a welcoming crowd. A well deserved treat with colleagues after a long university exam. A welcoming, lively, and authentic spot with plenty of character. Five stars — highly recommended!”
