About Blue Posts
On Bennet St, Blue Posts is a pub and restaurant with a high-ceilinged, bright layout across its dining space. The menu draws from a wider list of 68 dishes, with karaage sticky chicken, crispy battered cod goujons, and houmous and flatbread among the options, alongside cask and keg beer including several cask ales. Fish and chips, burgers, and a Sunday roast with beef and chicken options also appear on the menu. A quiz night runs alongside the regular food and drink service, and multiple TVs throughout show sports. The step-free entrance and a disabled toilet on the same floor suit visitors with mobility needs, and dogs are welcome inside. Outdoor seating adds extra space for eating outside. It opens daily, and reservations are recommended, as evenings tend to get busy with a wait for tables. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.

Customer Review Summary
Sports viewing on the pub's multiple screens draws the most consistent praise, with reviewers repeatedly citing the atmosphere for football and other matches alongside a strong beer selection, including cask options like Timothy Taylor's and London Glory. Close behind, many single out friendly, quick bar staff and dishes like the fish and chips and burgers as tasty, decent-value options, with several recommending booking ahead on busy nights. However, a recurring quality complaint surfaces around Sunday roasts and smaller plates: one reviewer describes an overdone, chewy roast beef with a sparse plate of vegetables, while another reports a long, frustrating wait for food, sticky uncleaned tables, a cold dining room, and disappointing portions such as a hummous and flatbread described as store-bought and cold, plus a Pan Fried Prawns & Chorizo with just a single prawn. Another notes the fish and chips wasn't as good as on an earlier visit before the pub was renovated. Despite this, most describe leaving with full bellies and big smiles after ducking in on a cold day for a quick, satisfying meal.
