  “Popped into Nelson’s medical today and it was a bit hot for his majesty in the mini and no shade anywhere, popped in hear , cholo in tow, and the couple from SA who own it, let me tie him up on the terrace and they minded him, ❤️❤️had a few issues then handing him back 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️cholo loves everyone👍👍if you ever pass bye, tell them you know cholo 👌”

  “A great American style dinner. The food was great and the menu has all the classics. The place itself is on point with the theme and decor. Also the owner is super friendly and welcoming and makes you feel at home every time. A really good local gem if you’re in the area.”

  “Just a brilliant Independant local option for families with young kids. We have been there several times, including a (same day!) last minute birthday gathering booking. The owners have been on site every time we have visited and are always friendly and welcoming.”

  “I have driven past this place and have always wanted to come here. I came with my husband Jack around 11.30 on Saturday and it was absoustely excellent. Steve was a brillant host, talked through the menu, and made us feel welcome. I believe Steve is the owner and he takes a lot of pride in his restaurantt, and it shows. The food really was tasty, having been in America for 4 months in 13 different states, it really did remind me of an excellent diner, my husband and I have fond memories on a diner in Boston that we loved, and this really reminded us of that. Food was super yummy and reasonably priced considering things are getting more and more expensive! it is super fun and would highly recommend, We can't wait to come back!”

  “Being a visitor to Britain I was looking for a place to enjoy a breakfast more like those I can enjoy at home. Waffle Jacks met that wish. I enjoyed an omelet and even tried a 1/4 waffle. The proprietor was very welcoming and made my stay enjoyable. The food arrived promptly and was hot and delicious. The coffee was good too, but unlike an American diner (or a Canadian one, some I’m a Canuck) they don’t offer drip coffee. The restaurant is very small, but they make extraordinary use of their limited space and people seem to roll with it. The service was top notch, the food was good and the atmosphere was fun. The only negative I can offer is the small size of the establishment, but really they manage that well. I don’t throw out 5 stars everywhere, but when I do they’ve earned it. I went out of my way to visit here , a long way out of my way, and it was worth the effort.”

  “I stumbled upon Waffle Jacks while visiting Nelson’s Medical Practice on Kingston Road, it’s literally just a stone’s throw away! The first thing that caught my eye was how fun and vibrant the place looked. It has that authentic American diner vibe, full of character and energy. The menu has something for everyone, but I went for the Full English Breakfast, while my wife chose the Corndog and Chips. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, freshly made, full of flavour, and served with a smile. What truly sets Waffle Jacks apart, though, is the exceptional service. I’ve never felt so genuinely welcomed or cared for in any restaurant. The owner came out personally to greet us, made sure we were comfortable, and took a real interest in how we were doing. When we decided to sit outside with our baby, he even came back out later to check if we were warm enough as the clouds rolled in, such a thoughtful gesture! I didn’t expect to enjoy our visit as much as I did, but Waffle Jacks completely exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return and try more from their amazing menu. Highly recommend this spot for both its fantastic food and outstanding hospitality!”

  “Yes!! At last a real American style burger. All the other places don’t know what good is, well Waffle Jack’s is great! Run by a lovely couple who know quality freshly cooked food, if you’re craving juicy burgers and a fun atmosphere this is the spot. We’ll be back and will update based on the next meal we get.”
