About Passyunk Avenue (Waterloo)
Passyunk Avenue (Waterloo) is an American restaurant and sports bar at 22 Leake St in London, dressed in Philadelphia-themed decor. The kitchen serves a Philly cheesesteak with homemade whiz, chicken wings that include a bucket order with a hot sauce called Insanity, and tater tots with cheese whiz. Play is part of the format. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the Philly cheesesteak, praised for its homemade whiz, with the wings close behind, one diner pointing to a decent ranch and another to bucket wings in Insanity sauce. Tater tots with cheese whiz and a thick, meaty Italian meatball starter with a fresh hoagie also get singled out. Beyond the food, the American dive bar feel draws repeated mention, along with plenty of screens for sports, a baseball batting cage, pool tables and a basketball net. Several call the beer and cocktails good value for central London, and many describe friendly servers. The caveats are uneven. One reviewer found the wings tough and overcooked, the steak sandwich bland, and left most of the meal uneaten, while also noting dim lighting and tiny menu print. Another said a server seemed not to care, and described a man at the next table repeatedly telling their group to move seats during a World Cup match. Even so, a Friday night visit with self serve beer taps was called quick and not too loud.

“Great sports bar with multiple TVs and viewing areas, catering to those who want a quite secluded area tonwatch the match while seated or to those going for a full standing room only sports bar viewing. I was pleaseantly surprised that even while there was an Eagles game on (go birds), that there were parts of the pub that were tucked away that gave patrons a quieter viewing experience”

“"The food was beautiful as was the drinks ( its been a while since ive gotten drunk from 1 cocktail so I applaud you captain Jack sparrow!) The servers were really lovely too and the whole place had an atmosphere like no other we will be back with a staff night out (my Mrs is already onto her boss about this!) And another date night thanks for helping us celebrate 6 years since our first date ❤️”

“I don't usually leave negative reviews but my god I have to leave this here. Food is terribly overpriced and tastes awful. It's so dimly lit inside and the writing on the menu is so small you can barely read it. The food came out quickly but genuinely everything we ordered was terrible. The wings were tough and overcooked, the steak sandwich was bland same for the salad and steak. We ended up leaving 75% of the food for the bin to eat. There's also no service or wifi in the building. The only thing saving this restaurant was the Californian waitress, who was lovely.”

“Cheese steaks and wings were amazing, great tasting beer and very reasonably priced for central. When we arrived we got our table had some drinks, then the four of us played the batting cage, 30 minutes, managed 2 rounds each, scoreboard with different level settings, great fun. Back to our table ordered food then finished off with more drinks and a few other games before calling it a night, went very smoothly, will definitely come back.”

“Fan of all things Philly USA? Then this is the bar for you especially if you love your sports. Plenty of screens to watch on but if you want to get hands on then there are pool tables, a basketball net and a baseball pen. Great atmosphere, great food and cool drinks.”
