“Excellent fish and chips. Fish well priced and perfectly cooked. Our boys had the pies ( one steak and one meat and potato) and they went down very well. Chips tasty and portion sizes generous.”

“Lovely fish and chip shop in a brilliant location right opposite the Great Orme Tramway. We visited on a dull, rainy Thursday, so it was very quiet. On a warmer day it would be nice to sit outside on the benches, enjoy the sun and watch the trams. They have a takeaway side and a dine in restaurant, which allows well behaved dogs. Decent portion sizes for adults. We had the Traditional Fish Supper (Small cod, small chips & home-made mushy peas with a tea or mug of coffee for £16.95 each. Also had a battered sausage too but it wasn't needed (which the dog was happy about). There was a wait for the food but only because it was all cooked fresh which meant it was hot. Free sauces in pots were offered in the restaurant. They only accept card payments over £20. I would visit again and recommend the walk from the sea front to enjoy quality fish and chips for your visit to Llandudno.”

“I was recommended the fish and chips here by someone who worked on the over so I was a little disappointed by the food. The larger fish was okay but the chips were dry and 'bitty'. I was also asked whether I had cash rather than paying by card because they prefer cash (?).”

“Customer service was outstanding they were so friendly and attentive. Hands down this is the best fish and chips I've ever had. Expensive but it's a must go before or after the tram up the hills”

Customer Review Summary

Small cod and chips is what most reviewers praise, described as cooked to order, fresh, and hot, with thin, light, crisp batter. Close behind come the generous portions, the choice of portion size, and the friendly staff. Curry sauce and mushy peas get repeated mentions as sides, while others single out the poutine, squid, and the steak and meat and potato pies. Reviewers also like the spot opposite the tramway and a dine-in room that allows dogs. The caveats are real. One reviewer found the haddock wafer thin, the chips rock hard, and the peas not mushy, and was only told sorry when raising the chips. Another called the chips dry and bitty, and a third was asked whether they had cash instead of paying by card. A few describe the food as expensive, and one notes a wait that came from everything being cooked fresh. One diner carried a takeaway five minutes back to their accommodation and found it still hot.
