  “Onion rings are just full of batter the burgers tastless amd garlic mayo is to strong and unatable spent 80 quid n fully disapointed was looking forward to a pub lunch over priced the baps tasted like charcoal too”

  “Me and friends called today to watch the celtic v hearts match(end of season/title contender) everyone in the bar were respectable After 70 minutes of the match we were told the management decded to turn the game off There was never a raised voice when the match was on. Half the bar left at this stage,wont be back”

  “Had the Korean chicken strips and chips today - definitely recommend The waitress was so helpful and ensured we had quick service when we said we were tight for time (had an appointment to go to) Will be back!”

  “Had a very tasty Sunday lunch at the Cardon on a couple of occasions. Lovely food and friendly staff. Easy to park on the street on a Sunday but maybe a different story on weekdays.”

  “Came here for a festive season lunch with friends and had some niche dietary requirements. Spoke to Andy, the chef, and he was keen to ensure their menu was inclusive and went out of the way to have something for me. I ordered the goats cheese fritter, scampi and chips and brownie with ice cream. Everything was awesome and the service was brilliant throughout. I can't recommend The Cardan highly enough, great place, outstanding staff and brilliant food!”

  “This was a bit of a difficult place to rate. The staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. The drinks arrived promptly, and the food was presented perfectly. The burger and chunky chips that I had tasted lovely and would recommend it. There's a nice seating area at the front, but passing traffic can spoil it a bit. The only real reason for the 4 star review and not a 5 was that, the place was in need of a bit of a spring clean. There was dust visible on top of speakers, window sills and the border around the eating area. Everything else was great, but as I said before, just needs a bit of spring clean in the bar and eating area. Toilets were immaculate!”

  “Food 5 stars. But 3 stars over all. What let it down was the slow service, one server threw the plates on the table. No.glasses were collected from the table at all. Took ages to pay. Could have walked out without any staff noticing.. The toilets were next level grim. All had broken toilet seats and absolutely stank. Doors didn't lock either. Shame.”

  “The Cardan yet again served us a fabulous meal, I'm addicted to the mushroom toast starter, yes I know it doesn't sound like much. BUT YOU NEED TO TRY IT !! First time having the lamb rump with a side of shepherd's pie, the flavour was amazing ! Staff all wonderful polite and efficient. Special £5 offer on cocktails at certain times.”
