Customer Review Summary
The caveats are specific. One diner on the fish and chips found the mushy peas unseasoned and the chips underdone. Another reported waiting twenty minutes for drinks and menus, asking twice for cutlery and taking some from another table, and calling a tiny dessert average value. One reviewer describes a dirty bathroom off the beer garden, with flies and urine left through a long stay.

“I have genuinely never been in a bathroom as dirty as this place. The male bathroom accessible from the beer garden is shocking. There must have been 15 flies swarming about, the sinks designed to look rustic are actually just stinking. As if they’ve seen their fair share of vomit. The toilet area was covered in urine which I can appreciate they can’t control but it stayed like that the entire time I was there (3.5 hours)”

“A great place to relax after exploring Belfast. The atmosphere was lively without feeling too crowded, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Whether you’re stopping in for a drink or spending the evening with friends, it’s a comfortable spot with plenty of character.”

“Went for dinner with friends on a one night stay in Belfast. Great menu, we had the traditional boxty options, absolutely delicious, then shared a couple of lovely desserts. Staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Told us there was live music on in the beer garden, we couldn't hear anything so thought it must have been dead. Was totally jumping, band were brilliant, everyone was having a great time. So glad we visited.”

“Had a meal yesterday the place wasn’t too busy plenty of staff on but they all seemed to huddle round the bar having a chat including the manager. Had to go to the bar to order our drinks after 20 mins as no one came to take the order. Brought our food but no cutlery asked twice but none came so we had to take them from another table. Food was average. £8 for a dessert that was tiny! Lots of tourists in and they weren’t happy with the service either in fact one couple got up and left after waiting for menus for 20 minutes.”
