  “Just simply far too pricey for the type of food they serve. I’ve watched their prices rocket up in the last few years, used to love getting the slider meal but it’s simply not worth the cost anymore. Quality has also dipped and clear to see from other reviews, theme in Leicester prices go up quality dips. Some nice staff there though to be fair.”

  “thought I'd try out the much heralded 'gazebo chicken'. I ordered using the new automated AI voice telephone thing which doesn't give you options for customisation. The IT worked fine although it thought I wanted 4 full chickens, luckily realised what it was about to confirm and amend so that mostly worked. Picked it up, was steaming hot. Excellent. Opened it at home. And therein lies the great disappointment. I dont't normally leave negative reviews but I can't be the only one who sees the flowing red hot lava smothering what would otherwise be a tasty spratchcocked chicken and think 'sick day tomorrow'. I don't understand who enjoys licking standard chicken shop industrial chilli sauce off their charcoal chicken. It makes no sense. Anyway, warning to others, if you aren't into playing volcano with your mouth, then just stick to the far tastier roast chicken.”

  “I’ve been eating here for 10 years and the taste has never changed. The quality is always consistent, and that’s what keeps me coming back. The quarter chicken with naan and salt is still as juicy, smoky, and perfectly seasoned as it was the first time I tried it. The naan is always fresh and soft, and the flavours are spot on every single visit. It’s rare to find a place that maintains such high standards for so long. Highly recommended!”

  “I have ordered from Bbq base for years and honestly disappointed with my recent delivery. Ordered a chicken pita for £10 and was really disappointed. The portion was tiny, barely filled, with just a few dry pieces of chicken and almost no salad or sauce. Definitely not worth the money”

  “Ordered from here several times and the last three times it has been awful. The chicken lacks flavour, the spicy chicken is just drenched with a hot sauce out of a bottle. The bbq wings were drowning in a bbq sauce which again tasted like it was straight from a bottle. The chips are literally refried or re microwaved because they taste like cardboard! I mean take a look at the picture. How hard is it to fry some fresh chips? This is the third time it has happened. I believe this place has gone downhill and the food is no longer consistent. Unfortunately we will no longer be ordering from here.”

  “This must be the best Mongolian restaurant in Leicester, the food is delicious, we requested No chillies & they got the dishes perfect. Generous portions, you must try the coleslaw it’s rich tasty & leaves you wanting more. Eat here with confidence”

  “I had the mini sliders meal with tropical juice and a kids mini slider meal please see receipt for price. The meal was good and good flavour, the staff are very friendly and the chips are big enough for two or three of you. SUMMARY GOOD POINTS - you get a portion of fries big enough for 2/3 people - fries were cooked to perfection - customer service and people really friendly and good - sauce actually decent and not watered down and good variety - got place to wash hands - clean - lovely flavour of food - NHS DISCOUNT BAD POINTS - burger was overdone for me hence 4 stars otherwise it’d be 5 HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF IN LEICESTER.”

  “The food served here is of a very high standard. Dishes are very well grilled/cooked and marinated whilst the portions being a good size too. I absolutely love their gazebo chicken, it has a proper authentic African taste. I love my food to be extremely spicy and they give you the option of how spicy you would like the meal to be, which suits me perfectly. The chips are very different to everywhere else I usually eat at, and that's a good thing! They give you a collection of sauces with your food, all of which are very tasty and unique, adding a different dimension to your dish. Facilities are of a high standard - There is ample seating upstairs with toilet and a dedicated hand washing area. The staff, including waiters are very friendly, helpful and accommodating; always asking if everything was okay and if they could be of any assistance. The pricing is perfect for the portion size and quality of the food and service received. Clearly a lot of others share our opinion as there were a few others dining in when we visited. We will definitely be visiting again! Keep up the great work guys and girls!”

  “Great place, great food and top service. Very friendly and helpful staff on hand. Menu is great with a little bit of everything for everyone, mainly grilled but they do sort of stir-fry and steaks and all types of grilled chicken. Ground floor for placing orders and take away, first floor is eating in and second is for reservations (large groups mainly). The platter in the picture consists of chicken steak stir-fry noodles and rice and chips all for I believe £7.99 or maybe £9.99 but the portion was too big for the two of us, so consider that before you order as we ordered one for each of us and couldn’t complete one platter. 👍🏼👍🏼👌”
