Customer Review Summary
The desi breakfast is what draws most reviewers here, with the loaded mix desi tawa and keema versions singled out alongside karak chai, and one visitor calling the samosa chat the best they had in the UK. Close behind, the mixed grill arrives sizzling with generous portions, and families mention the Oreo shake, fries and burger going down well with children. Several praise the cleanliness and value, and one long-time regular describes three years of consistent flavours. The complaints are substantial, though. A recurring theme is service: one reviewer found the paratha doughy and the karak chai tasteless and described the woman at the front as rude, another waited over an hour for halwa puri and omelette, and a regular was unhappy at the poor response over missing grilled tomatoes and onions. One party was turned away from grilled dishes entirely because the grill was busy, with nothing offered instead, and several were frustrated at paying cash when card was refused.

“Very disappointing! Was told their grill was busy so couldn't order anything grilled and didn't consider offering anything in return! Went with a baby and just had enough time for a meal so it was very annoying having to leave for a decent place!”

“Food is ok unfortunately no grilled tomatoes and grilled onions Am a regular customer at Dhaaba. I have spoken to the staff at my regular customer regarding the grilled tomatoes and grilled onions which 8 need with my full English breakfast. The staff customer service is very poor The staff needs to be trained. I have experience in the retail and catering industry since 1985. How to welcome customer and the service they require is very important.”

“Came during a weekday morning and ordered a desi keema tawa breakfast with 2 karak chai's. Food came quickly, excellent service and it was delicious, really enjoyed the pakistani taste. Price came to about £20, so really good value. Will definitely come again.”

“Worst food place in Leicester. Went for breakfast this morning but really got disappointed with everything. Desi breakfast was so bad even their karak chai is taste less. Couldn’t even finish the paratha which tasted like dough.! Mini water bottle is £1.25. They charge for the mini take way box too. I just left the food. It wasn’t even eatable. And finally their staff behavior omg the lady in the front is so rude they should learn some customer service before open a restaurant. Waste of money, waste of time and spoil my mood for the rest of the day.! Big NO for Leicester people.”

“I ordered hlwa puri and parathas and omelette with 4 cup of teas. Took them more than an hour to serve it on my table. The food is not that tasty and good . Prices are a bit high. Not recommended at all. Plus they took cash instead of card payment and that added an extra headache.”
