Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers return for the curries and tandoori dishes, describing food that is fresh, full of flavour and "delicious", with generous portions and dishes arriving hot. One long-standing regular says the meals have never been bad in 20 years and singles out the poppadom and pickle tray, and another reviewer also names the poppadoms as the best part of a meal. Takeaway and delivery are described as ready on time, and a three course dine-in meal is called great value. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and welcoming, with one reviewer noting they suggest dishes not yet tried. The criticism is sharper than the praise suggests. One diner found the chicken curry odd in texture, as if boiled before the sauce was added, the meat curry tough and the tikka masala mediocre. Another said the chicken tikka tasted like sweet tomato curry, the tandoori chicken had a strong food colour, and the egg fried rice was bland. One also called the restaurant shabby and run down, and a Baileys shot at the end did not taste like Baileys.

“Dissappointed. I had chicken curry and the chicken tasted odd and had a.strange texture like it had been boiled and then sauce added to it. Husband had meat curry with different pieces of meat very tough son had tikka masala which was mediocre at best. Poppadoms were the best part. Was given a Baileys shot at the end which wasn't Baileys. Service was good, couldn't fault the staff. Restaurant itself was shabby and run down. Won't be.visiting again, there are far better curry houses. Cost £78. Three curry's, 6 poppadoms 2 naan breads, 1 children's dinner, 2 beers, 1 water, 1 coke.”

“Very disappointing experience. We ordered chicken tikka, but it tasted more like a sweet tomato curry rather than proper tikka. The tandoori chicken had an unnatural strong food colour and did not taste fresh or authentic. The egg fried rice had almost no salt and was completely bland. Overall, the food quality was very poor and not worth the money. Would not recommend.”
